Great big effing boil on my neck! Help!

I've NEVER had a boil, ever, and now, 4 days after I go from long hair to a short bob, I've got something that looks like another nipple. It HURTS! I've put metanium on it and it's coming up to a point but there's no head on it. I don't feel too well either but that might be unrelated.

What should I do?! Help!

Glad you got it properly sorted. I should think a few happy puffs are a good trade for the amount of pain it's given you this week.

I can see a mixture of opiates and alcohol at this wedding could turn out to be a bit risky!

Ugh. It does look better though. Sort of collapsing on itself. I think it will take a lot of dressing to heal up completely.

That's grim...carry on with your opiates as long as you can...it looks so so sore.

We are all taking the piss gently teasing about what you're going to wear to your wedding, but seriously, what are you going to wear to hide your second head little spot?

It's scary - when I started this thread, the photo below is how it looked. Anyone would be proud and pleased to have such a juicy spot, but that was before its radicalisation.

The cape and helmet would hide Mr Zitty; the lightsabre would be useful for any emergency lancing (methinks pure light would be sterile?) and the mask could cover the surrepticious inhalation of any gaseous substances, legal or illegal.

I know black isn't really de rigeur for weddings, but on this occasion needs must.

Holy crap! It still looks awful, better but still awful. I think you had the right idea going overboard with the pain meds to be honest!

The square redness round the edge is where I reacted to the glue in the dressing I think.

I am returned! With hindsight I REALLY overdid the pain relief and had taken enough to stun a pig so it was a breeze! It was the same HCA as yesterday but a different nurse and she made me lie on my tum to dress it. It had pussed loads overnight, and the dressing was soaking and leaking, and hanging off! I hadnt noticed and realised everyone in the waiting room sitting behind me, would have had an eyeful of green neck poo.

Anyway, she got this freezy numby spray and sprayed it on. The way I was lying, the can nozzle was right next to my nose so although the spray got to the wound, I got a couple of big lung-fulls of propellant! And by gum, it did the trick! It was like having gas and air! I didn't feel anything at all and was happily semi flaked out, on opiates and something similar to lighter fluid!

It's all packed and clean and nice, and the best news is, I don't need to go to have it dressed over the weekend, so we can get to the wedding afterall!

Huzzah! I'll upload a photo, kindly taken by the HCA, and then I'm off to the park with a bag of glue.
