I've NEVER had a boil, ever, and now, 4 days after I go from long hair to a short bob, I've got something that looks like another nipple. It HURTS! I've put metanium on it and it's coming up to a point but there's no head on it. I don't feel too well either but that might be unrelated.

What should I do?! Help!

DrKoothrappali · 21/08/2011 23:23

That is nothing short of impressive Holly, impressive.

BTW I'm loving that you are still giving updates. I've had more belly-aching laughs from this one thread than any others recently! Its a service you are providing!

faverolles · 21/08/2011 23:22

And yes, it does look much better :)

faverolles · 21/08/2011 23:22

It's given birth. Please call the new baby boil Susan.

Sidge · 21/08/2011 23:19

Have you had packing in it?

It looks like a piece of packing such as Sorbsan, slightly stained with Iodine.

Or a solidified lump of pus.

Either that or it's given birth.

(It does look MUCH better)

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 21/08/2011 23:18

I just looked at those pics while I had my tongue inside a Walnut Whip. I might actually need counselling. I never knew such horrors could exist.

EveryonesJealousOfWeasleys · 21/08/2011 23:18

Re the lump, I saw a video of tonsil stones being removed the other day (undoubtedly a link from MN) and apparently they are solidified pus. So maybe that's what's happened to Cyst?

EveryonesJealousOfWeasleys · 21/08/2011 23:16

Excellent progress, well done. Holly 1, Cyst Fabregas NIL [groin] Best. Typo. Ever. Grin

BagofHolly · 21/08/2011 23:16

What's that lump of stuff though?

whomovedmychocolate · 21/08/2011 23:13

That's good. It's reducing well and free draining. Obviously it looks horrid. Once it's actually stopped oozing, apply vitamin E cream to the skin surrounding the evil eye of Sauron. Keep it clean and dry. In about a week it'll probably scab over.

BagofHolly · 21/08/2011 23:12

Just as a tip, avoid dairy for 24 hours and drink a heck of a lot of water and your arse will return to normal function. Hopefully Grin

IIRC you are about to hit the exhausted stage of recovery. Do not compensate with coffee or you will enjoy another round of basement barfing (i.e. chucking it all out below stairs) Grin

But in a week you'll feel marvellous!

BagofHolly · 21/08/2011 23:10

I'd been hoping to keep the same dressing on from Friday, but it was lifting, so I got my mum round to change the dressing and Oh Dear God.
What do you make of this?

s1092.photobucket.com/albums/i410/Bagofholly/?action=view&current=image-12.jpg

Is it pus, dressing, necksick, poo, a baby Cyst, what?

This thread has made me laugh out loud. Hope you are feeling better and Cyst fabregas has buggered off to Barcelona now!

AitchTwoOh · 21/08/2011 22:11

truly, cyst fabregas is aptly-named. he is the gift that keeps on giving.

faverolles · 21/08/2011 22:05

Hahahahaaaaaaaa Grin Manure the parish :o
I think you should write a novel of this. It would only be a matter of time before Hollywood came knocking.

Meow75 · 21/08/2011 21:42

"but suffice to say there was anal screaming and I could have manured the parish."

I am CRYING at the thought of this. Just read it out to DH, and even he laughed and he thinks MN is the SPAWN OF THE DEVIL!!!

Holly, you deserve a bloody medal for this thread - for what you've endured and how you've presented it to us - your adoring audience!!!

Hope CystFabregas is dying a swift and quiet death, and the photos are the only evidence of him soon.

honeyandsalt · 21/08/2011 21:37

Oh no, poor holly.

I am sorry but my shoulders shake from laughing and trying to hold it in because I feel bad for you but.....

and how is cear?

whomovedmychocolate · 21/08/2011 21:24

Well I won't say I told you so

Passes the Febreze Grin

Back again!

The wedding was beautiful. Really lovely. Bride looked gorgeous (antique Victorian style, lots of lace and bustle) and it was an amazing venue. How posh is Sandbanks???

I wore my cute swishy maxi dress, and a bolero cardigan, and a chiffon scarf so you really couldn't see Cyst Fabregas. We were late though, the traffic was ghastly and I had to take my ABs on an empty stomach. Then we met everyone in the bar and I was handed a glass of fizz. Then we were told no alcohol in the ceremony so I downed the fizz. All was going well until just before the starters, when my tummy SUDDENLY inflated like an airship! I grew a huge bump! I got the most awful stomach cramps and knew that I didnt dare relax any muscle as the result would clear the room!

I went ashen, cold yet pouring sweat and muttered to DH I had to go right away! Headed back to the room and lay in bed, snivelling and trumping. I was freezing cold despite the boiling weather and put a jumper on over my dress and was still not warm enough. The methane was awful. All I could think of was the warnings I got from Whomovedmychocolate and I sobbed into my pillow "it was only one glass!"

I didn't get up again. DH brought toddler DS up at 6:45, both shouting "poooh poooh" and I put him to bed and waited for the gas to go and for labour to start. I won't give you the details, you don't need them, but suffice to say there was anal screaming and I could have manured the parish.

So there we have it : anecdotal evidence that clarythromicin and flucloxacillin on an empty stomach plus Cava dont mix.

Moanna · 21/08/2011 00:22

PercyPigPie · 20/08/2011 22:17
