All these people who cry "burglary!'.

It always happens at night and there are never any witnesses. I bet they either left the door open, just inviting people into their houses then shout "burglary!" when someone misreads their signals. Or they've just lost their stuff and say it was a burglary to get other people into trouble. Or some people just do it for the attention. People should take responsibilty for their stuff.

I had a vase on the window sill and it was such a little tease, you could tell from the quality of the glaze that it just WANTED to be somewhere else, and didn't want to stay on the windowsill. I think that vase really enjoyed being stuffed in the bottom of someone's smelly rucksack, it's what all vases really want, isn't it?
Of course, after the vase left the windowsill it became apparent it was a really cheap little knock off, and not anything classy at all.

And as for houses that have been burgles before......!

And some people even put Christmas trees in the windows of their houses with presents under them . I mean, how stupid is that? You can't expect a normal burglar not to think that's saying "I really really want to be burgled - burgle me now!"

My house was guilty of contributory negligence; it would persist in raising the hem of its curtains in a saucy fashion and revealing a bit of architrave.

Mind you, once the burglar had gained entry and seen the state within, he swiftly departed, leaving a fiver on the table with a note stating that my need was greater.

I deliberately keep my house untidy so that if a burglar breaks in, he will think my house has already been done over and will leave.

Even if they didn't actually consent at the time, who on earth just wanders down a street wearing expensive clothes that clearly signal the existence of a wallet about their person? I mean, I'm not blaming them or anything, but honestly, there's such a thing as personal responsibility, and I'm sorry but that's just the way the world is.

Actually, it's the ones who spend some of their money in public at the start of the night that get me. I mean, what more obvious signal do you need that they're willing to give it up? Clearly they're looking to lose their cash by the end of the evening.

People get burgled because their curtains are too inviting and tempt others into entering their houses

Have I missed something?
DD told me in all seriousness last night that you can tell a crook because he will be wearing sunglasses and have bitten nails. She was doing some sort of quiz.

TheFarSideOfFuck · 07/07/2011 07:27

believe

TheFarSideOfFuck · 07/07/2011 07:27

None of us should blieve them

The onus is on them to prove that their belongings are missing
