Laughing my Whitby off.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 11/08/2010 09:19

You are more than welcome. I've still got your fags and cider actually, I kept them for you.

SolidGoldBrass · 11/08/2010 09:17

BATCD: Sorry, forgot to thank you properly in general shock and trauma and embarrassment at state of gusset after all those frights. Thank you once again for getting me out of there and I don't mnd at all about losing my cider and fags on the way. Or the damage to my boots...

gigglewitch · 11/08/2010 01:18

pmsl @ ferrero rocher
[big golden balls?]

thumbwitch · 11/08/2010 01:00

Valpol, I believe you are correct! Although, if it's Big Tech then Ferrero Rocher might be more appropriate... Wink

floweryblue · 11/08/2010 00:52

would frozen lasagne be any use, I also have torches

floweryblue · 11/08/2010 00:50

Thank goodness Crunchie is OK, I thought kids and I had eaten her in ice cream format.
Got to this emergency situation too late to be of any use but if we need boiling water or hot towels, I can do!

Valpollicella · 11/08/2010 00:50

Maltesers on a platter should be appropriate, non, Thumbwitch? Grin

thumbwitch · 11/08/2010 00:48

Oh durrrrrrrr - PTT is of course private troll topic, I am so [fick]

thumbwitch · 11/08/2010 00:47

PTT?? Confused

Glad to see that Crunchy made it out in one-ish piece - and agree entirely that 3pm on Friday would be a great time for the Crunchie-athon, although I think we probably need to get some practice in before then, you know, so we put on a good show on Friday.

GW can lead the way, show us all how it's done.

So - do we get a celebratory plate of chocolate balls as well to prove that Tech has been suitably chastised?

Valpollicella · 11/08/2010 00:36

(please message me after hols. Have a great time Grin)

gigglewitch · 11/08/2010 00:29

yes we are val Wink
but you won't find me there atm, deactivated my profile til I get back from holiday.

Aluminium foils thicker than 0.025 mm (0.001 in) are impermeable to oxygen and water. Foils thinner than this become slightly permeable due to minute pinholes caused by the production process.
Still trying to figure out how PTT fits here, but I'm sure I'm on to something

KurriKurri · 10/08/2010 23:55

Are they being quarantined Val? - for all we know PTT may be code for anthrax.

gigglewitch · 10/08/2010 23:54

Excellent speech, Val

gigglewitch · 10/08/2010 23:53

Bitter Grin

Valpollicella · 10/08/2010 23:44

Both Crunchy and SGB were released today without harm, although they may face months of counselling to help them overcome their oredeals.

At this time we are asking the media and any offers of sponsorship for aluminium foil to respect their privacy, so that they may recover in the comfort of their homes, away from the public gaze.

We will of course be on hand at 3pm on Friday at the Cruncy Chrunchie - thon (marking their selfless efforts for Mners) to answer any further questions...

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/08/2010 23:34

I'll second that Kurri.

Although I will have to change my name to something slightly different, obviously.

KurriKurri · 10/08/2010 23:32

Helen, if Olivia's not a double agent, I'll give you my crunchy and change my name to Kim Philby.

HelenMumsnet · 10/08/2010 23:28

TWO intrepid MNers?

Don't tell me Olivia's let SGB out as well?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 10/08/2010 23:26

Giggle - DH asked me what i was laughing at and I stupidly read out your post.

Looks like I might actually have to take one for the team now.

KurriKurri · 10/08/2010 23:25

I'm prepared to eat several Crunchies on behalf of my colleagues [martyr emoticon].

SGB, just to update you - Tech is to blame for everything, and he is currently being de-briefed.

Giggle - I'm just trying to drum up custom for your gusset business - any publicity is good publicity.

Valpollicella · 10/08/2010 23:25

Helen, you basilically promised us Tech's cojones on a plate earlier...

Can you confirm what suitable punishment has been applied for this all round distress (secret topic leading to paranoia; almost loss of two intrepid MNers)

We may be forced to call in InjuryLawyers4U if we're not recompensed...

HelenMumsnet · 10/08/2010 23:18

OMG, Olivia! Did you let Crunchy out?

Tsk, I can't leave you alone for five minutes, can I?

Did you at least retrieve the tin foil?
