Nhs bursery or student finance(wales)

Can anyone help, my daughter has been offered a place on a nursing degree, is it best to go with the NHS funded bursery or student finance? I'm hopeless with this find of thing, thank you 😊

Same here, dd2 has gone for the bursary which gives her tuition fees and a small living allowance, however this does mean she gets a maximum of £2605 maintenance loan which means she actually has less to live on than dd1 who is student loan for all. I think it's better in the long run because its less to pay back.
The worry I have is nursing is such a full on course she won't be able to work to top up and therefore our already stretched wages will have to support her aswell.

I would think the bursary is better. I think she would need to work in Wales for 2 years afterwards. Read the NHS bursary details. Cardiff university has info for example. I would also try and work out how much DD would repay of the standard loan. If she doesn’t earn a lot or goes part time, it’s not huge.
