Hopefully this thread will appear on TIO! Grin No need to use it til our old thread is done, but at least we have it for when we are ready.

Congratulations knitting

Have a great time ursula

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/10/2017 15:37

first offer for dd today. She seems distinctly underwhelmed by it.

Have a lovely holiday Ursula!
Am very envious as it's grey and wet here today.

HesMyLobster · 16/10/2017 07:43

Glad you’re there safely Ursula - have a wonderful holiday!

I think Christmas is the deadline at DD’s school too.

UrsulaPandress · 16/10/2017 05:41

I'm not sure dd has a deadline.

Nothing got done on the plane as she slept all the way.

I didn't.

LoniceraJaponica · 15/10/2017 16:49

"and the school deadline for everyone else was yesterday."

Wow. At DD's school the deadline is Christmas.

Icouldbeknitting · 15/10/2017 16:24

My act of contrition was to go through the calendar to next September and put in all the term dates. DS has got it all organised, I found the booking (dated early July) and he's taking that in and has to get permission from each teacher for the absence. We'll see how that goes.

Littledrummergirl · 15/10/2017 14:43

Well done Shanghais ds.
Ds1 has started to hear from unis. Some have been holding/welcome emails saying they have received his application, some have asked for information to be forwarded.
Knitting what are you planning to do?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/10/2017 22:26

wow! impressive :)

OP posts:
doistayordoigo · 14/10/2017 22:25

No he's not early entry, but his school are pretty on the ball...early entries have already been done, and the school deadline for everyone else was yesterday.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/10/2017 17:44

Dois is your ds early entry? If not you may find school have been prioritising them as the deadline is tomorrow.

OP posts:
doistayordoigo · 14/10/2017 10:36

Thanks, I assumed that would be the case, school said they'd be looking at it yesterday, but haven't had an email yet. I read somewhere that the track login details come by post?

HesMyLobster · 14/10/2017 10:31

UCAS send an email to the student once school have sent the final application, with track log in details etc.

doistayordoigo · 14/10/2017 09:44

DS's application went in yesterday, for school to add their bits...can you tell on UCAS when they've submitted it or not?

raspberryrippleicecream · 14/10/2017 08:14

DD has tonsillitis again! We got antibiotics quicker this time and she seems on the mend.

No sign of PS yet, though she says she thinks she knows what she's doing now.

She is also off to London in half term.

chocolateworshipper · 13/10/2017 19:53

Welcome user and good luck

One more week before half term break here. Just as well - DD is exhausted.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/10/2017 18:11

Welcome User :) the more the merrier!

Grin knitting! oh dear!

I wish that it were a week later. Next half term is going to seem crazy long and exhausting.

Can I join? Dd applying for geography -PS done and in!

Waiting now although geography offers not made before
January apparently for where she has applied

Icouldbeknitting · 13/10/2017 15:52

We also don't break up until the 27th as I found out this morning. That came as a bit of a shock because since July DS has been booked on a half term three night residential course, Last year I checked repeatedly that the LA that he goes to school in had the same holidays as the LA that we live in and last year all the holidays lined up. This year what with the early deadline HE application and my mother being in hospital (and the calendar not being on the college website - there is fault on both sides) I've never thought to check it. It goes without saying that this year the holidays don't line up and his half term residential falls in term time. Of course it does.

Things are so bad here that I'm outsourcing all remembering to Alexa. I don't care if she has plans for world domination providing she can remember what's on the shopping list.

PandaG · 13/10/2017 14:57

We don't break up until 27 either. Unfortunately this means he can't go away at half term as he has an exam on the 2nd.

LoniceraJaponica · 13/10/2017 14:01

It looks like we have a much later half term than everyone else. DD doesn't break up until the 27th.

catslife · 13/10/2017 13:50

This week I have signed my last permission form as dd will now be able to sign for herself as she is now (officially) an adult! The birthday celebrations are this weekend.
There is approx 1 week of college left before half term and we have 10 days holiday. I think there are essays etc that need to be completed and handed in either before the holidays or after college starts back.
Congratulations shanghai on your ds offer and I hope the fee status is sorted out soon.
Also hoping those who have submitted forms hear something soon and that those awaiting modifications are completed soon.

NoHaudinMaWheest · 13/10/2017 12:46

Shanghai that's great news.
ursula have a great holiday.
Good luck to those with PS to finish/ revise.
Dd has given hers to her tutor but he is still chasing up last minute Oxbridge stuff so hasn't looked at it yet. He has a reputation for being hyper-critical so though she is happy enough with what she has done, she is very nervous.
She got a reply to her email to Edinburgh admissions and is frankly none the wiser.

Icouldbeknitting · 13/10/2017 11:08

Shanghai what a lovely way to start the weekend.

starfleet · 13/10/2017 10:48

That's great news Shanghai.

Good Luck to your DD Lonicera.

DS has finished for half term - he has a huge stack of past papers to work though so that'll keep him busy!
