Munich was good. The pool is the same one that was built for the 1972 Olympics and set in a park (the Olympic park). The park is really well used by the residents.

Not surprised about your swimming leaving for boarding school.

This seems to be the route for young talent in the U.K.

Same here. But they were all about 10 seconds out of pb pace so made the final!

DS won’t even entertain the idea of open water. Swimming pools only for him 😂 great your ds is loving it. It’s certainly been good weather for it this year!

We are also back up to British this weekend.

Will be interesting to see how ds does. He had a big chunk of the main season missing due to being ill and a slow return.

I only care that he enjoys it but I know performance matters to him!

A levels done. Back to Sheffield for British Summer next weekend. Couldn’t be dragged back to open water but in these temperatures I can see why yours is enjoying it.

Good to hear he’s still swimming asi know he was questioning it a while back.

That’s great re his medal at regionals - it is hard MC anyway as points system but also because all swimmers race open age from 12yo!

Hope his GCSEs go well too.

Fantastic result after everything this year. I do hope it’s a random event, but never to be assumed nor taken for granted.

DS swam regionals got 2 silvers multi class which given he’s 16 he was happy with. Not really swimming atm as we are mid GCSEs. He’s entered national junior para but more because it’s easier to enter and withdraw as it depends on how things are post exams.
