NYMT/BYMT 2025 (Act Two)

Starting a new thread as we filled up the old one!

DC 17 is in 6th season with NYMT. Also former BYMTer.

These annual threads have been a source of advice, emotional support and camaraderie for those of us with young performers enjoying everything that these awesome organisations bring.

NYMT have just released more courses. What are these - part of those that have auditioned and going on and thus just need to top up places? Or brand new?

Some of them are for specific things like tech or writing musicals. And then there are some non-auditioned skills courses I think, as well, but they won't be the same courses as those for people who went through the audition process.

@RattyMolemakes sense. Unfortunately we planned our summer holidays after she got NYMT so didn’t expect further BYMT offers. Shame as she would love to have done both

Does anyone know if BYMT are short of cast members? They have offered DD a third production. She is the one who has been responding so perhaps I should be clear that she committ to any more activities this summer …..

Confused.... BYMT still have a holding waiting list so they may not be short of people, but perhaps short of the right people for certain skill sets / ages?

@Mumster40 I think they take a ring binder and scripts are handed out when they arrive. Or they can ask for a digital copy if they prefer to use an iPad

My DS is in a NMW in half term as well. I imagine they are concentrating on the Easter schedule and will send out details after they have finished.
