Can someome update when payment links are received pls? In case I miss my email

In the past arrival time has been 11.00am on the first day.

Does anyone know what sort of time they want DC for the first week of training in the summer. Fame is starting 26th and before the 2 days off? Thank you ☺️

Morning all, similar to what @betswina said, Chris emailed us last night (so approachable and communicative!) and said that there was another invite only non- residential for 25 selected people that they'd opened in London and another residential coming. He said it was invite only for those recalled but didn't get cast/ workshop specific to skills those individuals need to progress their journey at this time. We have booked on to this additional non residential and our (12yo first timer) DC is very excited! So do re-check the link you were sent if you couldn't get a skills course before they booked up.

I don't think any invoices have gone out yet, don't worry. We just had the auto reply - no need to worry, promise! I suspect they'll send them all when the full casts are confirmed for each show.

Hi is anyone doing BYMT in Birmingham in April?

Just to update others who were unable to book skills courses, and also those NYMT-experienced parents who were so kind and reassuring, that I have heard back from Chris (still working at 8pm tonight!) that they have put another non-residential (London) skills course online, and will be putting a further residential course online in the next few weeks. He mentioned a priority list, so I am guessing that as was previously suggested, they will try to do their best to find places on skills courses for those who were recalled, but not cast in a production or new musical workshop. For what it's worth, it was always clear to me that a skills course was a possible (and actually quite probable for my daughter, given she is a 14 year old first-timer) outcome to the recalls. I'm just really proud of her for putting herself out there and getting as far as she did - she learnt loads from the audition days and met some lovely, talented people. I know that learning to deal with disappointment is an essential part of all this. Definitely worth rechecking your links if you are still wanting to book a skills course, and good luck. My daughter is really looking forward to hers :)

Yes exactly the same general email, but have also had a very brief exchange with Chris as had asked a question that he kindly reponsded to.

I’ve just found out the young son of one of my ds’s previous instrumental teachers is in Carousel which is lovely.

Thanks @MxPickles @Coniger I received the automated email saying that I'd accepted the role. It was the one with the link to the online shop....! Is that the same as everyone else? I was only worrying as it said the deposit was due by the 28th.....

I've not had an invoice yet either, but have had a email from Chris confirming DC's place is confirmed.

My DD was cast in a particular part in Stagshawe Fayre workshop last year before she arrived. They didnt actually tell her before she arrived but gave her the part when she started on the first day. It was a part which they specifically wanted to try two different age ranges for.

Actually no, I haven’t got the invoice either! I guess they’re dealing with the acceptances and the invoices will follow shortly

Thanks @Operasingerkath DC is really looking forward to the workshop experience as they haven’t done one before. I haven’t been sent an invoice….. Just the acceptance letter. Has it gone awry?

Haven’t paid yet, just waiting for payday 😬. I can only go by last year’s Lightning Boy workshop re casting - they weren’t precast at all and all had the opportunity to read for whichever parts they wanted. They did lots of work with the writers and then some parts were rewritten and then cast, sometimes double or triple cast. My DS honestly had the best time and didn’t want it to end!

Amazing! Thank you @allhailthebrain! My DS would love the opportunity to chat and get to know a few from the cast before heading to Canterbury. Though I think I’m more nervous than he is! 😳😃

@Livingtheirauthenticlife she's not on here but I do know someone whose DD is in Carousel, she's either 15 or 16, I can't remember! I could easily ask her mum if I can put you in touch if you would like. PM me if so when we can again!

First time is the best! I am sure that's true whether your MYT is of the B or the N variety 😆 Amazing lifelong memories. Congrats to her!
