He's really loving it, has told me about the positive tests as o understand if at the moment they are testing each day before they mix and if negative carrying on. He will be gutted if it doesn't happen he is having a fantastic time, was really brave at the caberet night and sang which he said he wasn't going to before he went. It seems well organised and supportive environment. Fingers crossed and take each day as it comes I guess

Newgirls · 20/08/2021 12:15

Oh crikey I hope the show is ok. I guess they will get PCRs now? And go from there?

Our girls has shows this weekend. I hope it’s all ok!

feelinhopeful · 20/08/2021 11:02

@Quitelikeacatslife how is your ds getting on?

My dd is also on legend of white bear lake and has been on the phone in tears due to a couple of positive lateral flow tests amongst the cast. Have you heard anything? I've emailed the office to ask at what stage they would pull the whole thing but haven't heard back.

Will be gutted if it does get cancelled as my dd is having so much fun. She loved the cabaret the other evening.

Apologies if I've missed anyone!
Congratulations to all your DC on what I gather was a hugely successful first night of Henrietta. Loving the tweets, and the set looks incredible. Really looking forward to watching this show.[/quote]
Thank you - it was so wonderful!
My other children were allowed out again from the day before (they caught it!) and we all finally got to the opening night - possibly the longest and most convoluted NYMT journey ever!
Henrietta is truly beautiful, and the talent on that stage is amazing...
If I had one thing I would change it would simply be that it were closer in (like in the pre covid days) simply because more people deserve to see it. These young people are phenomenal and it's a wonderful show. If you're nearby - please come!

Saturday matinee!

DramMum · 19/08/2021 13:37

Aaaw thank you! When are you coming to see it?

NYMT is new to us this year and I'm loving following all the posts on social media. What an amazing amount of work behind the scenes, as well as on stage to have brought it all to this point. Hunchback looked amazing. Hope Henrietta is going well.

My DC is in Billy and transferring to Dulwich next week. Just wondering how it's going in Dulwich, on a practical level, for those in Henrietta who are there now. I'm thinking mainly of food (I posted upthread a couple of weeks ago). I knew from memory that there's not a lot around there in terms of shops and I did a recce last week just to be sure. Dulwich Village really is a village (village shop, Pizza Express, Gail's Bakery and not an awful lot else). Just curious what people are eating, and what they do / when they eat on performance days, especially when there's a matinee.

I know they have a fab team with them, and they'll get a fuller schedule for next week, but I'd be interested to know!

Quitelikeacatslife · 16/08/2021 21:46

He's already having a great tome, phew

Comefromaway · 16/08/2021 11:53

I'm gutted we couldn't go to see Hunchback but we were away.

Quitelikeacatslife · 16/08/2021 11:15

Thank you,

Newgirls · 16/08/2021 09:21

Break a leg to him Catslife!

Ours have just had a break day and went to some shops so if anything has been forgotten I’m sure they can get it. So much for a bubble as they were in a town centre!

Quitelikeacatslife · 16/08/2021 07:47

So glad to hear everything going well so far on other productions.
Setting off in a bit to take DS to The Legend of White Bear Lake. Nervous for him (he isn't lol) and sending him into the unknown for 2 weeks. But excited for him too.
Hope we have packed everything

squintsoftheworldunite · 15/08/2021 22:07

Hunchback was just incredible. Wow guys. I was BLOWN AWAY.

Biscuitsneeded · 15/08/2021 17:59

Hunchback really was very, very special. Audiences blown away and moved to tears every night. I fear this one will be hard to top as an experience for the DC (which is of course a good thing!). @Newgirls break a leg for your DD. Who else has a DC with a show yet to happen? Are the Henrietta tribe still around? I know @doesanybodyhaveamap still has BYMT's Goblin Market to look forward to!

Newgirls · 15/08/2021 15:34

Saw a few mini clips on Twitter - sounds amazing!

Yr10mom · 15/08/2021 13:43

utterly amazing!

doesanybodyhaveamap · 15/08/2021 13:17

@minimits they deserve a London transfer for sure!

minimits · 15/08/2021 12:38

What a show Hunchback was. I can honestly say it’s the most amazing production DS has been part of. Post show blues here now-if only it could have a London transfer…just so happy it went ahead!

Mcmumager · 15/08/2021 11:56

@doesanybodyhaveamap every comment made on hunchback was overwhelmingly saying how amazing it was. Well done to everyone involved- so glad it happened for them all.

doesanybodyhaveamap · 15/08/2021 11:38

To all of #teamhunchback. You were magnificent. Struggling to find words because I'm still an emotional wreck. DD's happy tank is overflowing. Love to all xx

The cathedral photos of Hunchback look amazing!

My DD is very happy up in Yorkshire for Our girls. Busy and enjoying it. Phew!

Biscuitsneeded · 12/08/2021 20:27

@allhailthebrain sorry to hear you're isolating. I'm glad your Henrietta DS managed to avoid it by going away! Will you all be out if isolation in time tonwatch the show? Hope your DS is enjoying it - and all the other kids on here who were doing Henrietta? The first night of Hunchback was epic. Worth all the many months of waiting.

allhailthebrain · 11/08/2021 00:39

Have a great time HBOND cast in Manchester! Wish I could come to see it but isolating... SIGH!

Fortunately my performing child was already at Sevenoaks and away from the potential threat! Absolutely cannot wait to see Henrietta this time next week

Biscuitsneeded · 10/08/2021 23:03

Thanks for all the good wishes for Hunchback. They got a visit from Mike Jibson today halfway through tech, which was rather exciting!
