I had the BYMT marketing email too- ds and dd wondering whether to audition. Dd never auditioned for NYMT or BYMT before but her summer residential has just been cancelled for second year running.

Ds took his lack of place on NYMT well especially considering how excited he was to get in last year. Not sure if it’s worth the stress of another waiting game!!

Any others considering a late entry 😂

I've no idea with musicians.... . I know of another musician offer for Hunchback but that's all so far.

Last year the musician offers went out after the stage castings so this is already different!

13k is for a day student, its an extra £1.5k for boarding on top!

One thing to also remember is that MDS covers boarding costs. DaDa doesn't so you have to pay accommodation for Musical Theatre courses. Which at somewhere like Tring which is school style boarding houses is pretty costly. Dd's homestay cost £130 per week. She's now in halls which is £120 per week plus food.

So where DD is at the moment, her full fees for the year if we didn't' have MDS would be £47k! However, we do have MDS hence she is able to go... £13k per term would not be doable!

Hurtwood are probably one of the most expensive private schools. We were talking earlier of fees of around £18k per year for other specialist performing arts schools. Hurtwood is £13k PER TERM.
