Ah well done @allhailthebrain's DS! Fabulous news. Which show?

allhailthebrain · 23/04/2021 19:13

Yes, Henrietta! It looks like a big part too!

And he's at flipping dance classes all evening lol!

lolacharlie43 · 23/04/2021 19:13

@allhailthebrain

OMG he did it!! And a part!
Congrats!! Which show??
aplo · 23/04/2021 19:12

Fantastic @allhailthebrain in Henrietta?
Congratulations!!!

allhailthebrain · 23/04/2021 19:09

lolacharlie43 · 23/04/2021 19:08

We have heard nothing from our friends who are in for Henrietta and Billy. So I guess no news is no news..

aplo · 23/04/2021 19:03

They have double cast the role of Henrietta- my student is sharing it with three shows for each performer. No other news here though.

Jamsanmum · 23/04/2021 18:59

On twitter nymt say they’re still looking for a d/deaf actor to share quasi role....

allhailthebrain · 23/04/2021 18:59

I think in the case of Henrietta, no new is no news - so far! Argh!

Jamsanmum · 23/04/2021 18:52

No news is good news?!?!?!

Triflefan · 23/04/2021 18:47

Or here 😬
I need to get a grip. I have things to do and I can’t sit refreshing my emails all night!!! 😆😆

allhailthebrain · 23/04/2021 18:41

Nothing here...

Pinkstargazer12 · 23/04/2021 18:23

Anyone had a no yet????

Jamsanmum · 23/04/2021 18:18

Anyone heard about Henrietta performers?!?!!😬😬😬😬😳

doesanybodyhaveamap · 23/04/2021 18:06

@Pinkstargazer12 Don't forget, even if not successful for hunchback everyone in final recalls will also be considered for the workshop (A Kiss for Cinderella) so it's not over by a long way...

Before we moved house I could have uploaded a picture to show the difference as I still had DD’s but she was 7 years old at the time and she’s since done Grade 8 individual LAMDA so her Grade 1 group Trinity is goodness knows where!

minimits · 23/04/2021 18:04

Awww thank you @Pinkstargazer12 don’t give ip hope! Thank you @aplo-no idea what he’ll be doing but happy to just be in! Wishing the best for your DS’s!

Comefromaway · 23/04/2021 18:04

Yes, it’s like the difference between taking Grade 6 RAD ballet (accredited) & Grade 5 RAD Class Award (not accredited)

For Trinity Group a group certificate is awarded then each individual candidate gets a certificate with their name on. These certificate don’t have the OFQUAL logo on.

allhailthebrain · 23/04/2021 18:01

@Comefromaway so do they give them a different type of certificate then, which wouldn't be eligible for UCAS points?

Obviously we have never done BYMT so I'd have no idea about this, just what normal grade 8 exams are worth (DC taking it next term). It did seem a little unfair given the work that goes in to grade 8!

Comefromaway · 23/04/2021 17:53

@allhailthebrain

Grade 8 distinction would be worth UCAS points when it comes to applying for university I would imagine! We do LCM and those certainly are.

Quick google confirms this so definitely worth having, nice bonus!

The group exams are not UCAS accredited because the production as a whole is graded, not the individual candidate.
Pinkstargazer12 · 23/04/2021 17:47

@minimits I am DELIGHTED for your son. Huge congratulations, wonderful news. Nothing here from Hunchback .... in her heart she knows it’s a no, but I’d love to have confirmation tonight!

lolacharlie43 · 23/04/2021 17:25

@Belshels

Fingers and toes crossed for all you talented ones🤞🏼🤞🏼💗hope your waiting is over very soon with happy news.

Dd got a Trinity Grade 8 Distinction too with Paperboy when she was in it. Is it useful for anything... colleges etc, was wondering what the purpose was of getting them?

A distinction at Grade 8 Trinity is worth 30 UCAS points so definitely worth putting on university forms :-)
