NYMT / BYMT 2021

Starting a new thread for NYMT / BYMT hopefuls in 2021.

DD13 is auditioning for NYMT for the second time as stage performer and as musician. We just received an invite to the next round (online workshops).

She was gutted that Covid put a stop to her show (Imaginary) last year so we are keeping everything crossed that she gets another shot.

We've also booked a BYMT audition and she's already in the musician pool there so hopefully a show of some sort this year if we get some kind of normality back again...

Anyone else out there?

We're a no for performer. Disappointed but we will pick ourselves up and come back next year. At least she has musician 🥲

Got an email for bymt saying dd on the reserve list for a performer. I guess just wait to hear if anything changes nearer the time 🤷‍♀️

Well my ds has received an offer of a musician in Cabaret Macabre. Just confused as it’s described as “an all female project”. I presume this isn’t applicable to musicians?

@Belshels only part over! She's still in the mix for stage performer and we also wait for NYMT musician outcome... but it's less stressful now for sure x

Yay! Things are starting to happen at last. Well done @doesanybodyhaveamap's DD. Hope this is the start of lots more good news from BYMT for everyone waiting.

For Team NYMT - break a leg to all the DC doing recalls this weekend! DS has practised the dance for his and got it slick, and is now reading through his scenes again. His cowboy accent keeps going Irish but hey, they were probably Irish originally, weren't they?!

So we already knew what it was going to be, but the official email with DDs BYMT musician offer arrived at 5.30. Feels so good to have SOMETHING nailed down and in writing! Goblin Market 😀 Now, hopefully not too long to wait to know about stage...

Good luck for recalls tomorrow. DS has come home all bunged up with hayfever, he thinks he'll be fine by the morning. Fingers crossed!

Well would you believe it, we’ve just had an offer from BYMT for Peter Pan. So pleased for my DD! We needed some good news.

I really hope you all hear soon, the waiting is agony.

It's bizarre they are pushing the extra auditions so hard when they haven't finished dealing with those that have already auditioned.

Awww @Belshels that's the one I was quite hoping for for DD. It says they want a cast of strong actor musicians, particularly string players. As we've not heard I guess it's not looking good 😢
