Sporty child: training more or less cancelled...any suggestions for the coming weeks?

Just that really. For the moment we are minus 7 1/2 hours of hard swim training and no sports fixtures at school.

I am sure the sports centres will close shortly.

Does anybody know about those things you can put on bikes to make them indoor?

I've not looked for 1980s aerobics videos on Youtube, but I hope not to have to do this.

I'm dreading when they cancel swim training. DS's team is still going. He'll be unbearable down 10 hours of proper exercise a week.

Turning his bike into an exercise bike is a good call. DP has weights in the shed too - he can teach him to use them. And go running with him. And DS can do Pilates with me (and realise that even pregnant I'm better at planks than he is 😆).

We have a treadmill and turbo trainers for bikes. Agrees that a smart turbo trainer is better do you can subscribe to a package like Zwift which gives you a virtual reality ride, and the option to join lots of different training rides. We have both for training when our kids are in bed on and evening. Our plan though is still going out either on bikes or for a walk (or run!) daily as you can't beat the fresh air.

Running outside isn't banned nor cycling, not even in Italy or Spain

Decathlon have got the turbo trainers for putting bikes on for £80. It isn't very exciting doing turbo, but better than nothing. We have a smart trainer that integrates with Zwift and makes indoor cycling much better.

If you have Sky, then Fit in 5 is good and the red ones are proper hard work.

I will be taking mine for runs with me and the dog. Daily, probably.

Following! My DC's do something every day normally. We've got a tiny garden, so I need some inspiration for keeping them active Confused
