Swimming crash courses

My 5 year old son is building up good confidence in swimming and just starting to be able to swim a few strokes by himself. I was wondering whether it worth him attending one of the swimming crash courses that run in holidays to see if this would give him a boost. I'm not pushy about his swimming but if people have had experiences where they have had a tangible difference then I might consider.

Yes my DC progress much quicker with intensive courses than weekly lessons. The trick is keeping the impetus up so it's not forgotten over the summer.

My dc3 was struggling a bit / had plateaued when she was little, so I booked her in for 5 x lessons one Feb 1/2 term at the local baths. First day there was only her and one other and the other d didn't then turn up again, so she had 1:1 lessons for 5 days in a row. Made all the difference - she made SO much progress. (She's a lifeguard now Grin).
