Traditionally for many years MN has had an audition thread; so here it is as the auditions start in a few days 😀

Yeah so far my refresh has only got me junk mail! OMG!! Come on NCO!!
Luckyfab I never know how they’ll do it! Last year I got main email first and the next day I heard about training.. if there’s a pattern I’m wish they’d share it !
Still no news!!

OMG!!! I refresh my emails every 10' but from what I read here I should wait tomorrow as DS auditioned U11

Mimu I think it’s mainly by the school year. So for under 10s it’s kids in year 3,4 and 5
U11s year 6 etc
I’m guessing we can start refreshing emails from 9am? 9.30? Grin

The main orchestra is also age banded, it's the 14 year olds.

First year auditioning and not really fussed about the outcome and not hopeful- I have no idea how it all works and it has been useful reading about it here. If my daughter was 9 (a month before her 10th) what was she auditioning for? Is it by age or grade - she just did G5 yesterday - oh and she plays the harp- thanks

I heard that this year, it will be in order starting with under 10s today and moving through to main orchestra by Friday. Good luck!

My DS is so laid back he is horizontal but he was wound tighter than one of his snare drums tonight "Oooh, is that alert an email from NCO??" I imagine they are winding each other up on WhatsApp as well ...
Thankfully we are paperless at my work so I use my laptop to make notes when in meetings and, ahem, check on very important incoming emails Wink I'll just need to keep a poker face if The Blessed Email does arrive when I should be thinking about targets, budgets and the like!

Ha ha decaffresh.... I remember rushing home for the post one lunchtime 4 years ago when mumsnet said results were out. But back to email refresh for the next couple of days!

It was so much easier when it was paper mail. Fat envelope - yes. Thin envelope - no
Those were the days.. now it’s going be email refresh ALL. DAY. LONG. !

Last year was the first year of e-mailed results, and there have been big changes again to their systems this year. I wouldn't read too much into what happened in past years... Good luck everyone!!

Had a quick look at last year’s thread - they seemed to send “no”s on day 1, “regionals” on day 2 and “yes”s on day 3. Is this always the case? (Nails long gone 😬)

Good luck fellow NCO parents and offspring. Let's hope the results come through more easily this year. Definitely an amazing note on which to finish for all of them. What an amazing year they've all had. (Lovely to chat to you too, TB'sM)
