I think this year is going to be all about Ireland and my DH is going to be smug McSmug, AGAIN!

TigersEnglandChick · 07/02/2009 14:03

Only an hour to go

TigersEnglandChick · 06/02/2009 23:21

Wel, ladies, I offer everyone good luck ... and I hope to see you here every now and then over the next few weeks ...

Ronaldinhio · 06/02/2009 23:10

sorry constant rubbish spelling piffle
obv know the name as he was part of my joint obsession

I love the tri nations as well and the super 14s/curry cup matches
Ah bliss

InTheScrum · 06/02/2009 23:09

Not heard that song before mileniwm. Not so sure of the sentiment, but Kelly Jones makes me weak at the knees!

TigersEnglandChick · 06/02/2009 22:54

Tri-Nations is fantastic to watch ... but it helps when you're not at all partisan; you can just enjoy the rugby.

LOL @ the song milenimwffalcon

Tindal's out then ... you'd have thought they'd take it a bit easier in training the day before the tournament started

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:54

Piffle?!?!? you and I could fall out you know!

Piffle · 06/02/2009 22:49

Richie not Ritchie - I'm a purist, a kiwi and a ferocious rugby fan
My order prediction
Wales
France
Ireland
England
Italy
Scotland

But I support Wales (top kiwi connections) or Ireland (dp Irish)
But it's all shit compared to the tri nations
Imnsvho

mileniwmffalcon · 06/02/2009 22:42

song

TigersEnglandChick · 06/02/2009 22:40

When I was pg with DD I was in a lift in Peterborough with a little boy in a pushchair wearing an England shirt; I commented to his mum that I liked the shirt and his very Scottish dad pointed out the navy blue vest he had on underneath

Ronaldinhio · 06/02/2009 22:38

I'm obsessed with rugby
My dog is named after Ritchie McCaw and I had a love dream about BOD...a genuine waken up, leap from bed filled with happiness because I was in love type dream
I used to carry a picture of BOD in his Adidas skivvies in my purse...

mileniwmffalcon · 06/02/2009 22:38

lol isn't it funny that, despite being english, i've never felt more welsh than on match days

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:37

I cannot wait for the match, nothing better although will be bloody cold I imagine

OneLieIn · 06/02/2009 22:36

Dizzy, DH wanted to call DS Scott Ieuan Shane but he saw sense ....

OneLieIn · 06/02/2009 22:35

Me and DD are English roses and DH and DS are welsh, so we're with you on Valentine's Day.

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:33

our DD was nearly called Shane-Horgan Dixie after that try he pulled against england - thankfully I managed to talk DH round

InTheScrum · 06/02/2009 22:32

I've just seen the Wales V England fixture - 14th Feb.
There certainly won't be a lot of loved shared in this household that day!!

TigersEnglandChick · 06/02/2009 22:32

Ronaldino - one of my best memories is of DH wearing an England shirt, arm-in-arm with a guy wearing a Wales shirt yelling singing 'Ireland, Ireland .... etc' at the top of their voices

We're white-with-red-roses but, for some reason, everyone seems to have Ireland as a 'second' team ...

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:31
Grin
Ronaldinhio · 06/02/2009 22:30

same to you dizzy

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:29

Desi - your first match is against Italy you may wish to try and stuff them first

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 06/02/2009 22:22

lovely Ronaldinhio lovely - you don't mind if I also stand shoulder to shoulder except when on the tartan army stomping ground?!?

Ronaldinhio · 06/02/2009 22:20

I'm shoulder to shoulder..ladies

Desiderata · 06/02/2009 22:16

Well obviously, I'm supporting the English side.

In order of whom we stuff, I would put it like this.

Scotland
Wales
Ireland
France
Italy

TigersEnglandChick · 06/02/2009 22:15

Me either, dizzy! I was quite surprised to find it as a topic

mileniwmffalcon - erm ... I'm not certain ....?
