Monday was 36.

Tuesday - 30 minute Stretch class.

Adductor - 75 kg, two sets of 20; 82 kg, one set of 25.

Still having difficulty getting booked in for classes. However, it turns out that the MT/Stretch teacher is now taking classes in Cowdenbeath and I've been able to get booked in for both Musical Theatre Fitness and Stretch for next Tuesday.

FurForksSake · 16/03/2026 19:58

Physio and thirty minutes of energetic gardening. Happy with that! Not sure the shrubs will survive my hacking, but I did it. Tomorrow I’m hoping I can get a 2 mile walk in. Watch this space!

Pilates only today as I have a long work day.

FurForksSake · 13/03/2026 14:53

Happy Friday! I had hydro yesterday, I must have done some good work as I woke up aching. I’m off work for ten days so I’m hoping I can get some walks in and maybe some swims.

Hello. Can I join in?

I exercise 6 days a week.

today I did a 25 minute iFIT row and 3km run and then yoga.

I’m fighting back against menopause and trying to stay flexible

WearyAuldWumman · 12/03/2026 19:17

Musical Theatre Fitness Class, 45 minutes

Cardio. A lot of abdominal work on the floor today - including crunches in time to music. Glute work. Stretches.

Gym - seated leg press. New machine seems harder...Tried 45. No chance. Thought knees would pop out. 35kg, 3 sets of 5.

Lat Pull: 22.5kg, 12, 11 and 10.
Triceps: 22.5kg, 15, 10, 10.
Biceps curls: 22.5kg, 15, 11, 12.

On the one hand, I'm not losing weight and I don't think I look much different; on the other hand, I think I can feel biceps. Maybe.

I am trying a new thing. Getting straight out of bed and jumping around to a fave song then doing a cheesy walking video to make 20 mins in total. Literally jumping up and down - I think it’s tiktok thing. 3 days so far but I note I seem to be a lot more cheerful than on a usual morning.

WearyAuldWumman · 11/03/2026 21:36

@ComtesseI have decided my body will take any turn to malfunction!!

@WearyAuldWumman that’s loads!

I have a full day of moving ahead. And tonight I’m covering a yoga class. I’m a bit apprehensive because I haven’t taught in a year or so and I do generally make up my own practice interspersing it with physio. I know the class well - I’ve been in it for 20 years I reckon so they won’t mind what we do. I am queen of śavāsana so they appreciate a good lie down. Still… wish me luck!

WearyAuldWumman · 09/03/2026 20:28

5 min HIIT plus cool down. Max speed 7.1 kmph. Max heart rate - 146 bpm.

Triceps pull - 22.5 kg, one of 10, one of 12, one of 10.
Biceps curl, 22.5 kg, one of 12, one of 8, one of 8.

Break.

5 min HIIT plus cool down. Max speed - 7.2 kmph. Max heart - 151 bpm.

Adductor: 68 kg, two sets of 20; 75 kg, one of 20.
Abductor: 61 kg, one set of 20; 68 kg, two sets of 20; 75 kg, one set of 6.

Pilates, 45 minutes. Bodyweight only today. A lot of abdominal and thigh work.

20 min cheesy walking video this morning - knee dodgy, trying to make a physio appointment, figure I can’t do much harm with mainly walking…

stilldumdedumming · 09/03/2026 20:01

45 x 25m swim in 30 minutes which is still slower than usual due bloody injuries but a slight improvement- and physio this morning too.

I went up my first Munro of the year (Beinn Ime) on Saturday. All week the weather had been promising but it ended up being fairly miserable. No rain at least, but you couldn’t see a thing, including much of the path, and it was freezing at the summit. Oh well. Lots of people got caught out by the forecast, but I did see plenty happy dogs! Up and down in 4 1/2 hours.

Sunday I did 60 minutes cardio (40 bike, 20 rower) but kept it pretty gentle to not completely kill my legs and I did 45 minutes of pump this morning.

I’m finally back in the healthy weight range but would still like to lose half a stone or so.

Just dropping by to say 8

Tai chi and followed by a walking video which ramps up the number of steps considerably.

Good to hear of all the achievements. Very inspiring!

WearyAuldWumman · 08/03/2026 20:31

Not a lot today - 20 minutes brisk walking. A bit of a cheat, but...

32.

I have just got a cancellation for tomorrow's Pilates, but still can't get a place on the Senior Flex aerobics.
