Only walking today.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 21/07/2026 22:10

5.5k walk
Dance cardio workout (35 mins)
Pump it up class with dumbbells (45 mins)
Loads of walking, been on my feet all day long.

30,000 steps!!! Highest number I’ve had in months!

Alittlefrustrated · 21/07/2026 16:02

Very impressive Comtesse 👏
60 x 25m swim
126.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 20/07/2026 22:10

5.5k walk
Yoga class (1 hour)
Couple of shorter walks

19,700 steps - better try and do another 300 now before bed, I can’t end on that!

Alittlefrustrated · 20/07/2026 21:47

Thank you for the encouragement ladies ❤️
I've just got in from a 5.8 mile walk tonight, so I'm definitely perking up!
125.

FurForksSake · 20/07/2026 21:17

Day 500 of exercising every day today! 11 min yogalates (doing a 30 day challenge) and 20 mins cardio for this milestone.

Woo hoo, never thought I would be able to do that! Been very lucky and haven’t been ill or really injured. Glad you are feeling better @Alittlefrustrated

Going to try for 600 now!

FurForksSake · 20/07/2026 20:21

Evening! 15 minutes of watering in the back garden. Good enough for me for today!

Welcome back @Alittlefrustrated- that’s some good consistency there. It’s shitty when your body isn’t playing along.

I did 60 x 25m swim this morning. Was going to stop at 40 but the pool cleared so i carried on.

Teeny bit of running. Trying to get my time down to 10 minutes for a km. Not sure if I managed it - shall have to try to be more precise next time.

I used the track at the gym, but was distracted at one point. Did set a timer for 10 minutes and I think I did one k, but not certain. Warmed up and stretched beforehand and did stretch and cool down afterwards.

45 minutes Pilates class, concentrating on abdominals and glutes.

I'm back. Had a horrendous virus - DP and DS eventually got it too. It's been like living in a sanatorium.
I'm gutted I can't achieve my 300 goal anymore but I've started to try to push through post viral fatigue in the past few days.
Thursday - 2.5 mile walk. 121
Friday - 46 x25m swim. 122
Saturday - 2.5 mile walk. 123
Today - 60 x25m swim 124

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/07/2026 19:31

7k run
Yoga (15 mins)

Not much walking today as spent the day at a friend’s house having a barbecue.

13,000 steps

stilldumdedumming · 19/07/2026 16:40

I did a kind of reformer Pilates today. Which I am still a bit dubious about!

Well done @WearyAuldWumman - I did my 20th parkrun today and I still remember how hard that first one was, I was exhausted! It’s not exactly easy or effortless now, but it’s definitely easier than it was! Keep at it! 💪

My day today:

Parkrun
4k walk
Lots of other walks
Few yoga stretches

24,400 steps

FurForksSake · 18/07/2026 20:56

I did some cardiac rehab exercises.

Thanks @stilldumdedumming and you’re totally right! InsructoR picked up a couple of simple technique related things that he corrected and will hoepfully make a difference going for Wes. Another lesson next week to work on breathing techniques

ended up having a lazy activity day today so calling it my rest day - think i need it tbh! did a lot of driving today and too tired to walk now - on a yoga ball and will do some leg exercises but think that’s it for today

5500 steps today but no heart raising exercises

stilldumdedumming · 18/07/2026 18:22

Well earned! 💪

WearyAuldWumman · 18/07/2026 16:40

This afternoon, I ordered out for lunch - mince and tatties - and have just woken up from a sleep in the armchair...

stilldumdedumming · 18/07/2026 16:38

Brilliant @WearyAuldWumman well done!

WearyAuldWumman · 18/07/2026 11:33

@WearyAuldWummanslow miles are better than no miles (tho you might want to consider resting it).

I had easy peasy Pilates today. Nice!

Guess which idiot stubbed her toe(s) on the side of the bath as she got into the shower after getting home from the gym today?

I thought I'd got off with it because it's not as sore as when I first did it, but I'm just in from an evening with my cousin and have had a look at my foot again, trying to ascertain which toe(s) I actually hit.

On the plus side, it's only one toe that's visibly bruised and I didn't fall. Also, it's not the big toe. It's currently a beautiful shade of purple, although the nail bed is clear.

I've taken ibuprofen and have slathered arnica on it. The wee toe next to it feels a bit sore too, but isn't bruised as yet.

Well, that's going to do wonders for my already slow time tomorrow. Grrr.

stilldumdedumming · 17/07/2026 20:27

@minnymoobearI think the thing with swimming, more than a lot of other fitness stuff, is that a lot of it is technique. I swam nearly every day as a kid! So if you’re not as strong a swimmer, you’re actually working really hard. (Is my theory). Having said that, it’s a great idea to get some lessons.
