Barkley Marathon 2026

Appears to have just started https://runningmagazine.ca/trail-running/the-2026-barkley-marathons-has-begun-on-valentines-day/

It is about a month earlier than usual, and has been made more difficult - now 2 anti-clockwise routes then 2 clockwise routes then a choice.

Hopefully John Kelly is recovered from the Spine.

She was posting runs from her home a few days ago and her sponsor would be all over it if she was.

I would love to see her do it though.

I had no clue! Aah I'm in a hot bath drinking a glass of fizz (valentines day treat😆) and thinking of those brave souls out in those woods is so cosy. Off to check the twitter page.

The course won last year, I recall bad weather. I hope the weather isn't too risky this time of year.

I've seen a pic of Aurelien Sanchez at the start

I don't know if John Kelly is still injured after the Spine but he's ghosted Strava which is normally a clue
