Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

Round 2, L2 D6 done, 17/30

How is everyone doing?

IDareSay · 04/09/2025 11:46

Round 2, L1 D6 done, 16/30

Felt tired today but pushed through, and as always feels great once it's finished!

IDareSay · 03/09/2025 15:56

Round 2, L3 D5 done, 15/30 again used 2kg and now halfway!

@User456778976546 I have the medical knowledge of a paper bag but I would have thought joints hurting isn’t something you should push through. I know my knees would hurt and I’d injure myself if I did all the squat things and some of the jumping things so I just do a different activity for those (from one of the other levels)
You could just swap out the plank things for level 1 things.
It’s great how different you feel fitness wise so quickly - well done for getting on to level 2!

Round 2 L3 D4 completed. Still not doing the rockstar jumps and did skaters with weights instead. Swapped the final abs move for L1.

Thanks. This is what I'm going to do.

Haven't done anything today. I might do later, but have had a miserable day and just can't face it at the moment.

Onwards and upwards.

Round 2, L2 D5 done, 14/30 again used 2kg today.

Did my measurements in a bit of a rush beforehand (wanted to be ready for tribunal I'm watching), so need to compare with previous ones when I get a few minutes.

I'm still on Round 1 and have completed L2 D1 today.

There's quite a bit of this that I struggled with. I'm not good with plank because it really hurts my joints (wrists, elbows and shoulders) and I'm not sure whether it's something to push through or avoid. I don't mind muscles aching, but joints aching is different.

I got through it by 'phoning it in' quite a lot. I might return to L1 tomorrow. I seem to get on fine with most of this, but I know I'll get bored.

I am feeling so much fitter and leaner though. It's made a massive difference to me. I've already lost 4cm off my waist, which I'm really pleased about.

It's great to hear how everyone else is getting on.

Round 2, L1 D5 done, 13/30 almost halfway...used 2kg today.

Iwillclasptheeagain · 01/09/2025 09:39

I still do callanetics sometimes instead of pilates/ barre / yoga. It's really good

Which programme/dvd do you do @Iwillclasptheeagain ?

@LizzieSiddal- we’ve also got a thread for September starters if you want to join us there. :)

Happyhettie · 31/08/2025 19:22

I remember callentics! Callen Pinkney or something and lots of slow movements. It was hard going but really effective. That’s a blast from the past.

Happyhettie · 31/08/2025 19:21

@Saggyoldclothbody 🥳 Very well done! You’ve done brilliantly! Enjoy your holiday and well deserved rest.

@Disturbia81 glad you had a good holiday and fabulous you have felt good too. All that hard work has paid off.

Hi @LizzieSiddal ! Well done for starting it all again. The lie down is very much needed!!

Round 2 L2 D3/30 completed. I hate chair fly things but they were easier (just!) this time round.
Going back to work tomorrow so I need to keep motivated. Term time is manic but my health needs to come first.

Disturbia81 · 31/08/2025 18:35

Just catching up, you’re all doing so well! 😍
I have been away for 5 days and eaten what I wanted, I kept up the abs and weights but no cardio. I’ve not put any weight on! Its a miracle, I usually put on half a stone at least 😂 and takes a few weeks to lose.
Also felt great in all my outfits. Back on it fully tonight

IDareSay · 31/08/2025 14:04

Amazing @Saggyoldclothbody you must be feeling proud of yourself! Gosh, Callanetics, I think I used to do that back in the day too; it's certainly easier on the ceilings below 😄
Do let us know if you get a 'woosh'. I'm definitely taking a week off after this 30 days so I can test the theory!

Welcome @LizzieSiddal hope you enjoyed your lie down 😀 We are all at different stages so just jump in 💪

Saggyoldclothbody · 31/08/2025 12:43

L3 D10 Hurrah 🏆🥳🎉

I’m probably going to be taking a month long break from Jillian as I’ve got a busy week and then off on my holidays. I’d like to have this week before I go to see whether I drop some weight before I eat too much whilst I’m away. However, I’ve been eyeing up a Callanetics video to watch when I’m away (partly because I don’t want anyone in the room below us to report a baby elephant loose in the hotel) as I had really good results toning my wobbly bits from that 30 years ago.

I’ll keep watching the thread, may drop in from time to time but will be willing you all on from the sidelines. Good luck everyone 🤗

LizzieSiddal · 31/08/2025 12:22

Can I join although I’m a bit behind you all. It’s great reading how everyone else is doing.
Just did L1 day 1 and am now having a lie down 😆. I did this about 10 years ago and it was the fittest I’d ever been, I remember being able to run up two tube escalators one after the other and not being out of breath! I’m a very long away from that now.

I need to lose half a stone so am watching what I eat too.

IDareSay · 31/08/2025 11:55

Round 2, L3 D4 done, 12/30 💪

Happyhettie · 30/08/2025 19:14

🥳 @Saggyoldclothbody you’re so nearly there!!!

Didn’t want to do 30DS after a 5 mile walk earlier so I decided I need to mix it up a bit and found a 2024 dance hits exercise video on the YouTube. Danced around my living room for 30 mins like a loon. Cant dance to save my life but it was fun and it got my heart going.

Round 2 of 30DS still on Day 2 L1

IDareSay · 30/08/2025 12:37

Saggyoldclothbody · 30/08/2025 12:30

L3 D9 - nearly there…

@IDareSay You’re on a slippery slope 😀

I know! My DH is confused but impressed 😂

IwanttotakeyoutoaNailaBar · 30/08/2025 12:35

I took it up again before my summer holiday. Just two weeks but it showed in my arms.
Was meant to be doing it afterwards but haven’t . This thread has prompted me into action. Thanks 🙏

IDareSay · 30/08/2025 11:02

Round 2, L2 D4 done, 11/30

Heading towards halfway. I'm using the 3kg for back exercises like rows, and also for some bicep curls, but still on 1.5kg for overhead stuff. Might get some 2kg for those as the 1.5kg do feel pretty light now 😳
What have I become? 😂😂😂

Fundays12 · 29/08/2025 21:12

L3 day 1 done. It was tough but I enjoyed it.

Happyhettie · 29/08/2025 19:15

Excellent shredding / other exercising everyone! You’re awesome. 🤩

I had a day off yesterday and back to it today. I had to do today or I know I’m on that slippery slope to not doing it again and whilst I’m still on holiday, there’s no excuse.

Round 2 L1 2/30 ✅

Should have done level 2 but I rewound the tape (showing my age but I don’t know what you call it on prime, is it just rewinding??) without thinking so I did day 1 again. Did a bit more Natalie with the cardio and abs but still Anita with the strength stuff.
