@Porsche guy "but do you even gym, bro?"

bonfirebash · 23/06/2023 16:53

20 min country pop spin class

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 23/06/2023 16:42

Lunchtime class. So many performative men there today grunting and exhaling a lung at every opportunity. And one tool who abandoned his Porsche in the car park, because he was too important to wait 3 minutes for the previous class to end and the car park to clear, making it really hard for others to get out. Then he disappeared from class half way through. Muppet.

I had a nice little swim at high tide then a big stretch and then taught my BodyCombat class. I felt good in the water after a few days off, actually. I think my shoulders needed those rest days.
I have my BC class today and probably the stretching class afterwards, then it would be about time for a nice swim!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/06/2023 22:28

Bit of a bumper day for me, unexpectedly. Two hilly dog walks plus a lunchtime swim. My legs are sore.

Water quality is very poor here too, Bez after the torrential rain over the last few days. I got to the gym today, very hit and sweaty class.

Three rest days. Would have swum today but we had some heavy rain and the water is polluted. Coincidentally had SW water phoning me up about water-saving. I managed to mention the water pollution locally, and said I'd be happy to install water butts to reduce surface runoff, since I live on high ground and the runoff is a big contributor to the overflows.

Scored a free 200l water butt. The least they can do to be fair.

That's a shame Bez - I expect the heat is putting people off. Good that you got your swims in.

You have to eat ice cream on holiday Motherforkin, it's the law 😏. Sounds like your gym instructor will soon get rid of any unwanted ice cream pounds!

That's frustrating about the classes, Bez. Hope the new wetsuit is comfy. I've never managed to get on with them.

I averaged 20,000 steps over the four days i was away, in 29° heat but I obviously had too many icecreams to cool myself down, since I didn't come back a waif 😆

Back to a very hard and hot gym class this evening. Instructor was mean and kept making me drop lower in all the various squats and lunges we were doing.

Cancelled my Friday class, nobody booked. Rest day Saturday. On Saturday boss cancelled Sunday's class as there was just 1 booking. I had a 30 minutes swim in my fancy wetsuit instead. Swam upstream for most of the time, the tide was really fighting me.
I got back in after and swam in skins for another 15 minutes.

🤢 bonfirebash - that sounds grim.

Well done for spinning through the heat!

20 mins spin. Still melting here

BezMills · 15/06/2023 15:06

gah! we have some issues locally but mainly when it has been heavy rain. I'm hoping for decent water this summer.

bonfirebash · 15/06/2023 11:53

Sea swim cancelled due to sewage Sad

BezMills · 15/06/2023 11:15

Dawnie today, going in again at lunchtime, if I can get my ducks in a row.

I have my usual BodyCombat tonight, and there is a strong chance of a triple dip afterwards, let's see!

64 days including today.

Nice @MotherForkinShirtBalls !

I did BodyAttack and 2swam last night.

Today I did a dawnie at high tide 6:30am and another at low 2.15pm just before running off to pick up DD.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/06/2023 16:28

Gym class this morning. Managed to squat with 32.5kg which wasn't too bad. We are heading away for a few days tomorrow. There will be a manic amount of steps each day so I don't expect any actual exercise to be done too.

BezMills · 12/06/2023 14:41

nice! I'm planning on a swim after Body Attack tonight (one of the other instructors teaches it). Body Attack may not happen, it's a long way until 6:30 but it's so far pencilled in.

bonfirebash · 12/06/2023 14:06

Booked for a sunset sea swim on Wed, should be nice and refreshing

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/06/2023 13:59

That looks gorgeous, bonfire, and boxercise sounds fun Bez. I don't know how you fit so much in! I hope your arm is ok again soon, Roonetta. It's so frustrating when it feels like an injury isn't getting better.

Weekend was a write off, I had exams on Saturday and a migraine yesterday. Still feeling hungover from it today so I just did a short swim.

Amazing deadlift weight Motherforkin! StarStarStar

All these lovely swims...so jealous 😩

Good luck sorting Boxercise classes Bez.

I have been lazy the last couple of days and also managed to re-hurt my bloody arm lifting shopping from the boot of my car yesterday. Tricep area this time 🙄

Did day 3 of Arise which luckily was legs and glutes. I now look like this Angry

Very nice @bonfirebash !

Yesterday was gardening, very much counting that. Today I taught my class, went great, so sweaty!
I asked my gym if they would like to discuss me teaching Boxercise as a gym class and they were like "nah, we need to grow the gym before spending more on classes". Quite a short discussion, but OK that's clear.
I have stopped by the social club to talk a out setting up a Boxercise class there. It's a fun program and would work great for people who aren't members of a gym.
