Hope you are feeling better soon Sophie Flowers

Glad you managed a swim Motherforkin. Sounds like your shoulder has improved which is good news!

I had a short run and a short weights session today.

Your various classes sound really interesting Bez. Fingers crossed for your recorded class Star

I attempted the final workout of Killer Body this evening (34 min). It focuses on lower body and is tricky - I had to modify quite a few of the moves.

Planning to take a rest day tomorrow.

Barre yesterday, was very good! Qigong in the evening which had a lot of leg work, then taught Combat straight after.

Combat was a hoot, had 8 folk, which is not bad for 7.30 in the evening, we smashed it. I came out with this absolute belter "you need to sit down on it if you want to get the head off". No context needed.

Today I taught my lunchtime class. Was feeling a bit anxious meh about filming for certification (stressful week and a 40 minutes dental 2 hours prior), so I binned that idea and just taught my class for funsies. I'm going to work on it tmrw and film on Sunday.

5 days.

iloveeverykindofcat · 13/01/2023 09:31

HIIT. I semi hate it but these endorphins afterwards are undeniable. I used to swim at County level when I was young which involved long training periods so I think my endurance for steady state is already good, to the point I wasn't feeling the challenge lately. So started incorporating some intervals.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/01/2023 19:41

Sorry to hear you're not well, Sophie, I hope you're on the mend soon. I don't envy you the puppy stage, our dog was 3 when we got him and that was enough for me!

Swim today. My shoulder held up better so a bit longer and slightly quicker than last week.

30DS L1D2 and DDM: Bhangra. Which is fast and surprisingly tricky! (32 min)

Diverse Dance Mix Rocky sounds like I could nick some ideas for Combat

(not really, sadly Les Mills are quite strict about sticking to their tracks and choreography)

SophieLion · 12/01/2023 14:56

Hi , sounds like you've all been busy.
I've been working out but have had no time to write anything down. Puppies are very time consuming. Also ill again with ear infection so no exercise right now.

roonetta · 12/01/2023 12:15

Your dance workouts sound like fun Oubliette! If you can do Jillian workouts with anything above 3kg, I am in awe!

30DS is the only workout which gives me a noticeable difference in weight loss and strength in 30 days Motherforkin. It is one of my favourites (apart from the squat with v raise Wink).

50 minute strength workout with Trinny and Natalie. Trinny disappeared during the cool-down only to reappear at the end and declare she had thrown up Confused. She does make me laugh!

30DS L3 and Diverse Dance Mix: 1980s Rocky(!). 31 minutes in total.

I can do the hard moves with Natalie in 30DS these days - no more following Anita! Currently wondering if I need heavier dumbbells - my “standard” ones are 3kg.

Slow hill run this morning. It was bitterly cold and I'm very sore after the weights yesterday!

Days exercised 8

BezMills · 11/01/2023 16:15

I cancelled my planned Qigong class last night and just had a lazy rest day.

Today is a rest day, tomorrow is lunchtime Barre then qigong and teach Combat in the evening.

I'm in a bit of a moody slump tbh but will get there!

I find it's even more important to do something, even if it's less than usual, when I'm battling.

roonetta · 11/01/2023 13:46

Got a bit of a cold so only a 2 mile WWL today

Hope all is well with you @SophieLion Smile

I was thinking about going back to 30DS, Oubliette. It's years since I did it, I think probably around the first Junathon threads we were on way back when, but the compound moves would probably do me good.

I was going to have a rest day today but I've an exam on Saturday so as productive procrastination I did 40 minutes of weights instead of studying 🙄

OublietteBravo · 10/01/2023 19:11

Just getting to grips with the different workouts on Killer Body. Today I did upper body (31 min). I don’t think you’d want to be attempting this DVD if you hadn’t done some of the more basic Jillian DVDs. There are a lot of complex compound moves!

BezMills · 09/01/2023 17:16

Les Mills Barre today. I had a bit of a shitty night's sleep and a hangover and feeling distinctly meh (not unrelated).

So happy I got out to train tho, 3 days done.

I like this counting malarkey! In the cold months I expect I'll do 3 or 4 pw, but in the summer 6 or 7 when I add in my dawnie swimms and Saturday jog.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/01/2023 15:10

Hope you're OK, Rebel, you've really been through the mill.

I had a short run early this morning and a swim at lunchtime.

Oh no @Rebel2023!

I tried a new Jillian workout today. Killer Body: Core (30 min)

Well last week was very disorganized what with train strikes and one thing and another but I should be back to my normal routine this week. I did a 30 min session on the bike which included 10 HIIT intervals. Tomorrow will go back to the gym.

Just looked up bodycombat. Some very co-ordinated people! I think I would punch myself in the face.

roonetta · 07/01/2023 19:06

What a great achievement @BezMills - best of luck with it!

@roonetta I have been teaching only a few weeks. My sensei teacher has taken time out to have a child and the class wasn't running since May or so. She persuaded me that it would be a fine idea if i did the training and became the new teacher, to get the class going again. I missed it a lot and I know there were a lot of others who felt the same way, so I said sure why not.

I really enjoy teaching but it has not been easy! And I am still on my provisional so to speak. I am quite proud that I have come this far and hopefully I will have my full qualification inside this month

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/01/2023 16:12

That does sound like a very intense programme Bez! Good luck with your review. Hope you're back to full health soon Pelo, mind yourself.

Busy day yesterday so I didn't get to do much proper exercise. I did a short run followed by a long walk with a friend this morning. I had 9000 steps done by 11am!
