I did a short pilates routine this morning and had a lovely swim at lunchtime.

Your dog sounds fun Sophie, and a useful fartlek coach! What breed is he?

Days exercised 14

BezMills · 20/01/2023 14:14

Just finished my refuelling after teaching my Friday class (leftover mac cheese w chipolatas, a couple 5 mini roast tatties and two linda mac veg sausages).

It was amazing (the class), I had a grand old time, so did the troops. Food went down a treat too!

10 days.

SophieLion · 20/01/2023 12:18

We're not managing much distance either motherforkin between the sniffing, the pulling and just walking round me in circles 😆 I think it must be the piling that tires me out. He also wants to randomly run so I indulge him if I feel like it but then he will just stop so suddenly that I almost fall over...!! Or run straight in front of me 🤣

Yes he will be a big dog BezMills

The plates workout and the musical band workout made me laugh!! 😆😆😆😆 The disco workout sounds fun too.

BezMills · 19/01/2023 21:12

I too had unscheduled rest day yesterday (team meeting with the bossboss clashed with pilates)

Today I missed Barre because ///work\\ too. Qigong was good tho and then taught Body Combat. 9 days

OublietteBravo · 19/01/2023 18:56

I had an unscheduled rest day yesterday because I was feeling really dehydrated. Back to it today. 30DS L3D2 and DDM: 70s disco (30 min).

I decided to try some plates today. My body doesn't work the right way 😫

Days exercised 13

Pilates...clearly my phone doesn't work the right way either 🙄

@roonetta I just realised that 'band workout' is exercise band rather than music band.

I'm not always dim, but when I am being dim, I'm all the way dim.

Pilates got scuppered by an unscheduled work trip over to darkest Hampshire. I still have Qigong and then teaching my Body Combat tonight. It's so funny trying to get in the mood for teaching combat after getting zenned out of my face at Qigong. I have to go into the ballroom and put the music right up and play some prodigy just to walk myself up a bit.

Qigonged! 8 days. I got blocked from Pilates by a work meeting so rest day today.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 18/01/2023 13:35

Short run and short weights session today.

Days exercised 12

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/01/2023 19:46

Good to see you, Rebel and cat. 👋

I had one planned and two unplanned rest days. I managed a swim today and walk with the dog although it sounds like your pup is more useful than mine, Sophie, he does so much sniffing we only managed 3.5km in an hour!

Days exercised 11

OublietteBravo · 17/01/2023 19:39

Abs tonight - 6W6P L1 (34 min). Quite pleased with myself as I was so tempted not to bother.

roonetta · 17/01/2023 16:44

Wow you are really packing in the exercise Bez! Amazing Star

Sounds like the puppy took you for a walk Sophie Grin. Glad the antibiotics are doing the trick.

Welcome back Rebel. It's amazing how quickly your fitness will return to its previous state. You'll be there before you know it.

2 mile Walk with Leslie done ✅

perceptible progress is good @iloveeverykindofcat !

Rebel2023 · 17/01/2023 14:28

After 18 days I'm finally covid negative! Now to start back Sad feeling a bit demoralised after losing so much fitness
Plan is to do 15-30 min rides for a couple of weeks and keep the zones and HR low, mostly just moving my legs

iloveeverykindofcat · 17/01/2023 14:27

Am back in the gym routine, nothing much new to report. Progress is slow but perceptible.

BezMills · 17/01/2023 14:16

Gosh he's going to be a big boofer woofer isn't he @SophieLion . Did you say what breed he is?

Barre yesterday, it was the new release. We do the same routine for 13 weeks then move on to the next one. I really like the structure and that you can really see the progress as you get better at the routine. There is a track in it where we're doing something a bit like real ballet, on tippytoes and everything. I loved that. I'm not much good at it but I enjoy it, and I am getting better over time.

I have Qigong today, and trying Pilates tomorrow. I did one Pilates before but the teaching was very laid back and I didn't feel like I got much bang for my buck in an hour class. This class tomorrow is run by my Barre teacher and I expect it will be a bit more on and demanding if you know what I mean.

7 days done.

SophieLion · 17/01/2023 12:29

That was so true today bezmills. He was a total lunatic on our lunchtime walk. He's a big puppy too (already over 20kg and not 4 months yet) and I came back exhausted.....!!

BezMills · 17/01/2023 09:11

Pupper walks must be the best way to exercise @SophieLion

SophieLion · 17/01/2023 05:50

Thank you Roonetta and motherforkin. I've had to go on antibiotics but finally starting to feel better.

Good to hear your shoulder is holding up motherforkin.

Still doing epic heat - in the last week now - and lots of walks with puppy (cos he's big and needs the exercise).

BezMills · 16/01/2023 20:36

@OublietteBravo I don't love filming that's for sure. I enjoy teaching, have no problem being in front of my class.

I think dancefit type stuff seems great in theory and I do enjoy a dance despite or perhaps because of my complete lack of training.
I think I found my level with Barre. It's mostly a workout with about 25% actual dancing. Really sorts out my posture (I am writing this slumped on the couch pinned by a cat)

OublietteBravo · 16/01/2023 19:21

I don’t think I’d be keen on filming myself at all @BezMills. I’d just end up all flustered.

Back to it after a couple of rest days. 30DS L2D2 (my nemesis workout) and DDM: Rock & Roll (31 min). The dance styles I have experience in are so much easier to follow/perform than those I’ve never done.

(10/20)

BezMills · 16/01/2023 06:56

Well my filming was a complete shambles didn't go well at all. I got half way through my nemesis track, after already completely effing up one of the assessment ones, and just stopped the music, turned off the camera. I told the class, Plan B, I'm not ready to teach this track, let's put in a crowd pleaser on the end and get on with having a good workout together. It's not about me getting certified, these people have turned up to have a good time exercising, not participate in me having a shit time! Felt like shit about that anyway but yanno. I later got some moral support from my 'big sister' (person who qualified under our instructor before me) which made me feel a bit better. I taught the class well overall and had a good chat with some of my peoples afterwards. It is what it is.

As an aside, I've joined the FB group for 2800 pressups and is it not just full of try-hard showboating eg 'I'm already doing 200 a day just as a warm up' 'I hope it doesn't affect my big and serious weight lifting hobby'. And they are wondering how to engage people and raise money. Errr, how about doing something that people that know you can actually believe is challenging, if you want to sell it as a challenge? I almost left the group in disgust but yanno what, I'm going to stay and I'm going to quietly be supportive to the other battlers without flexing about how fit I think I am. The ones preening about with their massive numbers and routines don't need any input from me, and none shall they get.

And what it is, is 6 days done! Barre today and I'll do a bit of practice on the bits of my class I need to work on too.

Keep battling on everybody, you are all smashing it, considering A it's Janufuckingary and B we all had a bit of a break with hols etc.
