Like the new name Maple, makes me want pancakes and crispy bacon.

I went for a short swim today. Short because I got whacked in the face and ended up with a cut and swollen lip and sore teeth. Because some jackass doesn't know how to politely share a swimming lane. I wouldn't normally count a short swim but I feel my injury deserves its recognition.

Some friends in Edinburgh Sophie. Haven't seen them in forever so it should be really fun. I hope it works out.

Another class this morning. I like the structure of having to go and be there at a set time and having someone telling me what the plan is. I'm massively stress eating which is completely counteracting any good it's doing though Blush

Sounds like the complete opposite of my huge puppy motherforkin Grin Ooo where might you go in October ? Good to have things to look forward to.

Just managed a 30 min Cassandra vinyasa flow for flexibility (dog asleep!) and the 3 min bowflex plank challenge.
Feeling a bit under the weather - horrible sore throat so hope I feel better tomorrow.

Maple2023 · 04/04/2023 15:44

(NC)
10 min barre
20 min lower body mobility
20 min recovery spin

OublietteBravo · 03/04/2023 19:35

I did actually exercise on Friday. (Hard Body L2: 48 min). So I ended March on 18/20 days exercise and 726/800 minutes.

This week is going to be patchy given I’m traveling for work. So far 45 mins of NTWICF.

Days exercised: 59/80
Time: 45/750 minutes

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/04/2023 18:26

Short run this morning although I was trying to go a bit faster so it nearly did me in. Doms aren't bad yesterday/today after Saturday's class but my legs felt heavy when I was running.

Hope you have a nice, relaxing break, Roonetta. I got a message earlier about a possible weekend away in Oct and I'm already very excited! My dog is utterly uninterested in me exercising until he thinks he's getting out for a walk, Sophie! I couldn't even use him as an excuse not to work out at home 😀

20 min yin yoga. I'm very not flexible

SophieLion · 02/04/2023 20:33

Enjoy your holiday Roonetta! I love Dorset - not really been to Devon. The walking sounds wonderful.

Glad you had such a good turn out for your class bezmills.

Good tactic for a quiet swim motherforkin! I have to make sure the dog is sleeping when I exercise. He's nothing like the quiet, lying down dogs I see on you tube with the instructors! But then he's still a puppy (albeit a very large puppy)

Iron day 3 today - glutes. They feel sore already.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/04/2023 16:54

Swim today. I managed to coordinate it so the kids' friends were there meaning I could do my lengths in peace while they mucked about with their mates. Win win!

I did my open day yesterday, and had 24 in my free demo class. My instructor brought her 10wo babby in, great to see her and meet the wean.
This morning was day 1, had 5 in my first for reals class.
26 days. Soo good to be back

roonetta · 02/04/2023 14:51

40 minute "Lift with Cee" full body workout. She's a bit gentler than Girvan Grin

Off to Devon/Dorset for a few days. Hopefully will be doing lots of walking, weather permitting 🌦️🌦️

Oh no, Sophie, it was a swim at the local pool I missed yesterday. I go there just to get my lengths in and it's good rehab for my shoulder (plus under the flab I'm starting to build some muscle again!) I sea swim with a friend but we haven't been able to get time in the last few months then it got too cold. Once the work mayhem is over I'm going to make it a a priority to get down to the sea a couple of times a week.

SophieLion · 01/04/2023 19:03

Did a HIIT workout today (epic 2 day 6).

Do you swim as part of a group motherforkin?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/04/2023 16:49

I managed to miss my lunchtime swim yesterday and forgot there wasn't an evening one. The weather was so awful I took to the couch (with my doms) instead. Up early for a class this morning.

Vinyasa yoga session with Cassandra. Had totally forgotten about her and absolutely loved the yoga today.

roonetta · 31/03/2023 13:20

30 minute band/dumbbell workout done ✅

SophieLion · 30/03/2023 19:13

I managed a 30 mins Iron full body dumbbell session today as part of my new program as well as the usual dog walks (I'm at around 13-15k steps a day with all the walking....)

Tomorrow is supposed to be either a HIIT or yoga - suspect it might be a yoga session
But will see how I feel.

BezMills · 30/03/2023 18:48

I had a plan to run today, but the only thing I ran, was out of time.

I'm out for a post dinner walk, which will have to suffice.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/03/2023 16:46

Class this morning. It was supposed to be upper body but there was a whole lot of squats going on! I had to modify things a bit and use very light weights but my shoulder held up pretty well. I'm also going to take the dog on a hilly walk while dd is at training later.

OublietteBravo · 29/03/2023 19:53

NTWICF - 4 of the levels, plus warm up and cool down (49 mins)

Days exercised: 56/60
Time: 678/800 minutes

BezMills · 29/03/2023 17:17

Yes @MotherForkinShirtBalls and @roonetta I totally hear you. Measuring stuff is useful, so long as it is motivational and encouraging. If it does the opposite then it can get in the bin bin bin.
I've found in the past, that I can deal with a 6 week burst of super organisation, then generally fall off the wagon a bit. Realising that, helps me be realistic and not get too down when I run out of vava voom.
The biggest gamechanger for me, is having fixed points in the week where I have appointments. That's why I was so devo about the gym shutting: my structures were gone. I am quite sure a lot of my gym people had the same experience as me.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/03/2023 17:03

I get you on not counting Roonetta. I had to abandon it last year as I just ended up feeling bad about myself, which is very much not what this thread is about!

I had a swim today. I'm expectedly achey after yesterday's class.

BezMills · 29/03/2023 16:51

I was at 15 days on 29 jan, before the gym closure. Since then I've done 5 Bezercise classes, my Boxercise instructor training, my BodyCombat exam, and two runs.
That's me at 24 days, I think.

roonetta · 29/03/2023 12:40

That's as good a reason as any Motherforkin! I like your style Grin. Good luck with the gym.

I don't know anything about protein shakes either. I sometimes count calories, but it usually only lasts a week or so and then I can't be bothered Blush

Sorry to hear about the funeral Bez Flowers

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't started counting Sophie. Not sure I will be making the 200 mark.

You inspired me to revisit Jillian, Oubliette. I did workout 4 of Body Revolution. Not sure this body is cut out for all the plyo stuff she does any more though Sad
