Well done @Amaura!
@Mostlyjustrunning me too! Tested positive this morning after a dreadful night. Feel crap, just like a bad cold though. Have had to cancel a training course and a medical procedure I had booked. Hope you are not too unwell and have someone to take care of you

Thanks @giraffeski

Have now read through the thread, there’s been some good running the past few weeks. The wind was a bit rubbish wasn’t it.

I’ve restarted intervals but still haven’t made myself restart workouts. Need to select a day/time in the week and go for it. Struggling a little with the idea of less mileage even though I don’t want to do ultras this year. I knew emotionally it would be a harder transition than the physical one.

giraffeski · 01/03/2022 03:12

@Amaura

Sorry I’ve been so rubbish but thought I’d at least add the rest of my February miles. Haven’t been that many as had a week of leave (walking so no running this time) with the mandatory manic week of work beforehand.

Did another orienteering event and moved up a few places. Also… my goal for this year to get a sub 45 min 10km which I unexpectedly did as part of a hilly road race yesterday.

I now hurt in weird places

61 miles to add (but my phone is being weird so I can’t scroll up)

Sub 45 10k on a hilly course is great, well done! Thanks
Mostlyjustrunning · 28/02/2022 19:23

You’re all doing so well. After weeks of kids with covid I now have covid 😩
@Newrunner29 it's our cumulative mileage for the month, so I added the 7.2 miles I did yesterday to the last total posted (in this case by Giraffeski). We'll start a new count tomorrow for March.
Thank u

emummy · 28/02/2022 09:35

Well done for getting back out @User1412, hope the UC behaves itself and you can keep going.

Aha, found you! I had a lovely week away but it was nice to get back to running yesterday. A beautiful sunny day with leaves budding and spring flowers out. February hasn't been a good month and I really need to get back into my training programme if I'm to do this 30k trail run in May!

@emummy

Hope all that gluten work pays off *@giraffeski*. Beautiful day here, still cold & a bit breezy. Ran up a local hill, views a bit hazy at the top but lovely. Still some snow & ice to keep things interesting!

The glute was twinging all round my run today, I think it's a good thing as i'm obvs now using the correct muscle instead of defaulting to my hamstring on that side but it made my tempo run this afternoon hard work and I couldn't maintain my pace. I was knackered anyway as I'd been up early plaiting the bloody pony's mane and washing its tail as Dd had a dressage test this morning So could have been that but more likely the rogue glute. More work to do!

I’ve started running again after a long break due to my ulcerative colitis. Went out 3x last week, only 25 minutes but it felt so good!

No rain for a change!
Very windy but a clear day and blue skies in parts!
Had a massive session with the physio yesterday who gave me loads of exercises for my unbalanced glute meds and must have absolutely activated them as I could feel them especially on my weak side all the way round today Grin

Very cold and snowy run this morning, hate getting cold wet feet but felt better for being out! Ran on Monday and a social run on Tuesday. Just wish the wind would go away, hate running in it!

Well done everybody for running this week 😀

More snow! Just a covering, perfect for hiding icy patches which made my run a bit more interesting! Absolutely freezing too. Bit of a plod today, body just felt tired but that’s just how it goes.

@IRun4Me

Windy run yesterday. Bored of running in the wind. Does building a new chair count as strength training? giraffeski Wink
Hahah I reckon so, although how to spin it as single leg work... Club run 6 hilly miles last night and easy 5 miles this morning

Sensible decision to bail @giraffeski, don’t want you airborne!
Good interval session in the rain this morning, delighted to see the rain as it was getting rid of the ice. Still some dodgy bits so had to run in the road but luckily it’s not busy here.

Well done all!
Had to bail out yesterday after only 2 miles due to totally opposite weather as I thought I was going to be blown off the fell GrinGrinGrin

Rest day for me today. Been putting together my kneeling chair I bought as i'm fed up of sitting at my desk all day at work and I thought it was less obtrusive than a standing desk Smile
In my training plan I am supposed to have done a strength session tonight but I didn't do it as I forgot and just remembered now, I will do it tomorrow morning while the kids are not looking as i'm working from home.
