Welcome all to the 2022 distance challenge thread!

Any form of self-powered movement which you can log distance for; any distance in whatever units you like for your own personal challenge!

Last years thread:

Just be glad I'm rounding up to 1 decimal place rather than keeping the two displayed on my watch.
As with all the rules on this thread (of which there are none, other than being self-powered), this is entirely a matter of personal preference!Grin

I really don't like having a TTD that is not a whole number. This is going to annoy me all the way through this Grin.

tizwozliz · 08/01/2022 16:23

I've not yet decided what my aims are going to be for this year. Thinking maybe 1500 combined swimming/walking/running.

rrhuth · 08/01/2022 16:21

5.5 miles, 30.5 miles TTD.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2022 16:17

I'm glad to say the weather forecast for heavy rain all day today was wrong, it cleared up this afternoon.Smile 9.2 km

58.4 walked.
10km rowed

Did only 2 miles today but that was the biggest achievement of the week as I really did not want to go out as the weather was horrid!

25 miles TTD so I am ahead of schedule Star

ErrolTheDragon · 07/01/2022 18:38

Cold, windy and intermittent bands of rain today... I can cope with any one or two of them but not all three! so rower again.
49.2 walked.
10km rowed

A 45min walk over lunch the most amount of exercise we I’ve done since Xmas day…thanks covid. But building backup now.

Run2000km2021 · 07/01/2022 15:46

New username still in progress😅
20km of running done so far! 2% of my goal achieved😅

Tarahumara · 07/01/2022 10:56

5.8km run this morning - it was cold, windy, muddy AND icy but thankfully dry and sunny!
Total 47.7km (19.2 run, 28.5 bike)

ErrolTheDragon · 06/01/2022 20:03

Sleety here today. So, I gritted my teeth and went out into the (nearly) freezing cold garage for 5km on the rower. I'll probably regret it tomorrow, my quads were already very stiff thanks to my lovely Pilates instructor making us do loads of squats yesterday. It wouldn't be so bad but the old dog can't manage the stairs any more so he's an extra 12kg to lug and down every time.

49.2 walked.
5km.

Hello all! I was on last year’s thread but kind of fell off the thread at some point😬 I did meet my goal though of running 2000km in 2021! Really pleased with that as I’m not a natural runner. I’m planning on running less this year (1000km) but also doing some strength training alongside my runs.
Happy exercising all!

rrhuth · 06/01/2022 13:23

3 miles today / 23 miles TTD.

Very cold today! I am planning my weekend walks already.

VioletWillow · 06/01/2022 11:04

I'm at a total of 30K so far, which is a combination of walk, row and cycle; but I want to get a run in this weekend 🤞

IsThisNameTaken · 06/01/2022 09:34

Great to see all these km's racking up so quickly!

Beautiful frosty run in the park this morning for me - 7.5km
Total so far 25.5km (run)

ErrolTheDragon · 05/01/2022 22:40

My pleasure!Smile
I fear tomorrow will be one of the (relatively few) days when it's wet all day where I live - other parts of the country not so bad though.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 05/01/2022 22:39

@ErrolTheDragon that's what I thought too, there's no way anyone could do that within 3 days! It's definitely the 2022 challenge though so I don't see why anyone would start before Jan 1st?!

Low mileages for me at the moment as I'm back at work and it's very busy. plus I'm full of cold and sneezes, annoyingly. DC are back at school tomorrow though so I'll get in 5K+ on walking there and back twice Smile
