Today, marking a probably overdue 'normal life resumes' for me, I went out to lunch with some friends - inside rather than outside a cafe.ShockGrin And jolly nice it was too. So no walk, but I've just hauled myself out to the garage for 5km on the rower.

151.3km walked.
20km rowed

TTD 77km

Jumbojem · 20/01/2022 07:43

Just checking in. Don't know exact stats as phone charging but a better weekend/week for me as work is less busy.
Have got a good pattern of runs Sat, Tue, Thurs, and trying to do a walk, however short, on the other days. Walks are mainly lunch time due to light and I'm bored of the options locally and no transport or time to go elsewhere during the day. Will be going to office a bit in coming weeks which does give option for wider walk options.

StEval · 19/01/2022 19:19

12k walked plus a swim

Yes! It's frustrating as I'd made a good start to the year. But these things happen!

ErrolTheDragon · 17/01/2022 10:22

Weeks (sometimes longer) like that happen, don't they - especially at this time of year. I was wiped out at the end of last year by a nasty cold and the weather.
And kudos to all of you who manage anything at all alongside work and/or family commitments! I'm 61, DD grown up, and work part time (from home, have since 1995) so I'm far less constrained than many of you.

Last week was a write-off for me - I had a cough / cold (not Covid), felt rubbish all week and did not do any exercise at all. Finally starting to feel better, so will get back on it this week!

Rodedooda · 17/01/2022 09:06

Checking in for the benefit of any lurkers who aren't managing quite so well as some of the fab efforts here!

I'm on 25k total - mostly walks, as haven't managed much running yet. Last week was a busy one with work.

A few runs and maybe a cycle this weekend will hopefully get me back on track for the 1000k

Justmeandmines · 16/01/2022 23:17

I really thought I'd posted earlier but I must not of pressed post.
Not so much walking this week but a bit more running. Managing to run 5k now. Hoping that my distance will keep going up.
70.2km walking
23.9km running
94.1/2022km

Zampa · 16/01/2022 17:17

Managed to do my 2 5k runs this weekend so quite pleased. I'd forgotten the pleasurable feeling of being physically tired after exercise. The pandemic just created mental exhaustion tbh.

Well done everyone on some cracking efforts.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/01/2022 15:46

That's good.Smile I usually walk with DH, but much of it in companionable silence. I like being able to hear the sounds around me, especially birds - often heard before (or instead of) seen.

A different estuary today, and another section of the bay - along a sea dyke with salt marsh and mudflats so lots of birds. 10.8 km

The various outdoors forms of exercise , whether in urban, rural or coastal settings, can be great for appreciating nature. There's another thread here you're all most welcome to join https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/thegreatt_outdoors/4441745-nature-notes-the-2022-edition Smile

120.8 km walked.
15km rowed

Slightly lighter mileage week as I had a 10k race today, but still up to 53 miles run so far this year.
