I started 13/7 and am expecting it to take me pretty much all year 🙂

Friend of mine started LEJOG12 3/5 and finished it yesterday 28/5 😱 he’s run about 35 miles a day! He wanted the record and he got it!

I made it over the halfway mark! I have been gloating and looking at the spreadsheet at the runners who have further to go then I do and hoping that they have not given up and will also be knackered for the next few months.

swampytiggaa · 25/04/2021 11:02

I don’t dare stop I need to keep motivated. I’ve signed up for the virtual London marathon in October so I need to get the miles in

Well done swampy. I’m impressed you aren’t stopping for a rest.

I’m doing End To Ends Welsh Coast Path. I’m 8months is and am behind. I need to run about 100miles a month to finish. I ran 4.8 this morning and 7.1 yesterday so hoping to keep that up now the weather and light are better for early mornings.

IRun4Me · 21/04/2021 12:37

Congratulations swampytiggaa Enjoy the North Coast 500.
I’ve been to Scotland loads and know it’s big but running it makes me realise it’s bigger than I thought!!

swampytiggaa · 20/04/2021 10:14

I finished last night! Now I’ve started the north coast one whilst I’m up there...

Well done swampytiggaa the finish line is in sight.
I’m still plodding along. At least I’m now in Scotland

swampytiggaa · 10/04/2021 15:02

It's 5 months today since I started!!

And I'm well into Scotland. Still a long way to go though

IRun4Me · 06/01/2021 09:48

Oh no patchworkelmer I hope you recover soon and manage to finish

Rowgtfc72 · 06/01/2021 04:16

@PatchworkElmer that's gutting. Hope you're up and running soon.

PatchworkElmer · 03/01/2021 17:09

I’m 30 miles off completion and injured 😭

IRun4Me · 03/01/2021 17:07

I’m currently on the M6 and unfortunately Cadbury World is shut.

Rowgtfc72 · 03/01/2021 09:47

I dont mind the a30. At least it's a bit more scenic than the motorways!

swampytiggaa · 03/01/2021 09:31

Well done! I’m 500 miles into mine - started in July. It’s a long old road when you hit the A30 but that’s nothing compared to the M6!

Just started LeJog9. 9 miles in, walking it and feeling battered already!

swampytiggaa · 12/12/2020 19:22

I’m just over half way now 🙂 still only logging runs 🙂 its definitely keeping me motivated to go out!

I'm doing LEJOG 7, started in October - just passed the 100 mile mark. I'd gone right back to basics after shin splints so have been logging walks too, but have half marathons in March and April so the running miles will be increasing and might be able to achieve it with runs only.

swampytiggaa · 21/11/2020 19:29

I’m very close to 400 miles now! Should pass that tomorrow 🙂 on lejog3 so started in July and only counting runs 👍🏻

BensonBunny I log mine manually on the website. It doesn’t take long.
Alargeoneplease I hope you have a quick recovery. Good that you can extend the run.
Slight delay here as I’m now in quarantine for 2 weeks so no running for me.

BensonBunny · 12/11/2020 22:44

Hi all, you all sound like you are doing amazingly! My friend sent me details about this earlier, starting next week. I'm interested but not sure I can do it unless I count walking as it's hard for me to get out to run after work on week days. Can I ask about how you log your miles? It looks like you have to manually add to the website? Is there an option to upload from a smart watch or app?

Alargeoneplease · 11/11/2020 08:16

I’m 250 miles in on LEJOG3 but currently awaiting surgery.., going to be at least the New Year before I can even contemplate any exercise... luckily the lovely organisers have said I can extend so I will finish!

IRun4Me · 01/11/2020 12:33

I’m still going. I’m on LEJOG 6 and just done 100 miles. I’m trying to run most of it and it is motivating me to go out

swampytiggaa · 24/10/2020 19:07

Hello! I’m on LEJOG3 so I started in July 🙂 running it all as I want it to be a challenge for me 🙂 I’m about 330 miles in and slightly ahead of schedule which allows for illness or injury 🙂

OP posts:
AuntieStella · 24/10/2020 10:22

Yes.

It's 874 miles, so that's the equivalent of 2.4 miles a day if you use the full 365. If you can aim to do 20 miles a week (approx 3 per day, perhaps a bit less weekdays and longer walks at the weekends) then it'll take 44 weeks, leaving you 8 weeks to catch up on any shortfall.

I'm nearly at Birmingham!!

(Good job no tier issues in a virtual event)
