Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Two rest days, only one of themplanned. Weights this morning followed by 20 mins of a bracing sea swim. I'm considering it cryotherapy Shock

Great news your DS got the all clear Oubliette. Is he back to school again?

Days exercised 206.

roonetta · 06/10/2020 12:01

Thanks Sophie Blush - I never thought I would stick with it, but have actually enjoyed it and currently have the added benefit of WFH which gives me the extra 30 minutes a day I need to get it done.

Jillian does know how to make you sweat doesn't she? I don't think i've ever done killer buns and thighs, but will check it out.

WO12 done.

SophieLion · 06/10/2020 07:15

JM's killer buns and thighs L3. I used my lilly sabri resistance band for a few of the exercises which worked well but I'm dripping now....

Days exercised 219

SophieLion · 05/10/2020 07:42

Very happy to hear that Oubliette! Smile you must all be feeling so relieved. Hope your DS is feeling better too.

Wow! I admire you Roonetta! 3 months commitment is impressive. 👏🏻👏🏻

Today a 5km Interval run plus strength for abs and butt.

Oops peek

roonetta · 04/10/2020 12:37

That’s great news Oubliette!

The programme is 90 days Sophie. Not really sure what to do next but it will have to be another programme to keep me motivated. I might have a peak at Bodyshred.

OublietteBravo · 04/10/2020 09:52

He finally got a result early this morning: negative. So I’m out of isolation! It seemed like a long wait (46 hours between taking the test and getting the result).

A vinyasa yoga session with Cat Meffan. Lots of balances, inversions and hip openers. Quite challenging but feeling good now.

How long does the whole program last Roonetta? Apologies if I asked this before but got a memory like a sieve.

Any news @OublietteBravo?

I bet that sea was freezing MotherForkin 🥶

WO10 done for the last time. Cardio to do tomorrow and then onto the final two weeks of the programme 🙌

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/10/2020 12:52

Hill run and sea swim today. It was cold.

Days exercised 205

SophieLion · 03/10/2020 10:11

Sorry to hear this oubliette. Fingers crossed for a negative test result Thanks sounds like you've got a solid, workable plan in case you need to self-isolate though. Hope your DS feels better soon too.

7km run for me today.

OublietteBravo · 03/10/2020 09:55

I got my exercise out of the way first thing this morning. Cardio: BFBM (50 min)

(189/61; 189h 00min)

OublietteBravo · 02/10/2020 20:45

If it’s negative he’s straight back to school. Fingers crossed 🤞

If it’s positive we need to figure out what to do. Ideally DH and DD will stay elsewhere - we’d really like to keep her at school.

I haven’t been to the office since 13 March and I’m not expecting to go back in before next spring. So isolating won’t interfere with work. And if DH isn’t included In the isolation he can drop off food etc.

roonetta · 02/10/2020 20:11

I hope you get the test result back quickly Oubliette. Will your DS have to stay off for 14 days if it’s negative or can he return? I’ll keep everything crossed that it’s negative for you ❤️💐

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/10/2020 20:08

Sorry to hear that Oubliette. Hope your ds is doing ok and you get the test and an all clear quickly.

OublietteBravo · 02/10/2020 19:28

Bit of an odd day. I’m in isolation waiting for DS’s Covid test result (he’s lost his sense of smell, but is otherwise totally fine - a bit upset first thing but mainly because he thought we might insist he didn’t come home). DH and DD have headed off to a hotel to keep out of his way (he’s a boarder, so they’ve not been in contact with him recently). I’m at home keeping a vague eye on him.

Still managed to exercise as usual: 30DS L3 and KB&T L2 (65 min)

(188/62; 188h 10min)

Third day of weights done. Very glad I'm back to the normal two from next week!

Happy Friday everyone.

Days exercised 204.

OublietteBravo · 01/10/2020 19:52

Grin at dinner with Jillian involving mountain climbers. Definitely don’t want to find out just in case!

Strength for me this evening: NMTZ (50 min)

(187/63; 187h 05min)

OP posts:
MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/10/2020 14:36

Oh god, don't joke about mountain climbers, roonetta, today's session included them but with added trx fun. How anyone thinks suspending your feet then swinging your knees around is good for you is beyond me....

Anyway, weights and general misery session today

Days exercised 203.

roonetta · 01/10/2020 13:43

Nothing more uplifting than a dinner with friends Oubliette - I can't remember the last time I did this Sad

Knee is okay thanks everyone. Funnily enough it's fine while I am exercising, but when I have been sitting for a while in the evening and get up, it's sore and stiff. Still WO9 done.

Dinner with Jillian...I think she would have us doing mountain climbers in between each course Grin

SophieLion · 01/10/2020 08:07

Hope the knee is ok Roonetta. I know how annoying it is when knees play up....

Your dinner sounds lovely Oubliette and glad to hear you enjoyed it Smile (I'm
Now wondering how dinner with Jillian would be!!! Entertaining I'm sure Grin)

Power yoga session today and then lilly for abs and butt

215 days

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/09/2020 22:04

Dinner with your friends sounds much better Oubliette than sweating with Jillian and her friends Wink

OublietteBravo · 30/09/2020 19:20

I had a rest day yesterday and went out for dinner with friends. I’ve definitely been missing seeing people in person (I haven’t physically been into the office since 13 March). I expect it did me more good than a Jillian session!

Today’s session was 30DS L3 and KB&T L2 (65 min)

(186/64; 186h 15min)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/09/2020 15:43

Hope the knee is OK, roonetta. Mine has been a bit creaky the last couple of weeks so I'm minding it. I think it's probably 3 years since I was doing proper weight lifting so I probably should give myself a bit to get back into it. I did hurt today though so i had a swim at lunchtime.

Days exercised 202.

roonetta · 30/09/2020 11:37

Muscle memory is an incredible thing MotherForkin and you will be lifting what you were in no time.

I am taking an unplanned rest day today. I think all the jumping in levels 9 and 10 have taken their toll on my knee, so giving it a break today.
