New Yearathon 2018

It is very nearly 2018, so here is a thread to track your exercise goals.

It doesn't matter if you are new to exercise, or merely continuing your current regime. Everyone is welcome!

NMTZ. Feeling better but not 100% so went for NMTZ because it doesn't involve too much jumping around (and yes, you're right Oubliette, it is only 50 mins excluding cool down. Just feels so much longer to me! Think I've got used to doing the shorter JM DVDs).

Good luck for your assessment Oubliette. Are you a lawyer? And enjoy your visit to your sister. Then on Sunday you can really go for it with your exercise!

15 days.

OublietteBravo · 18/01/2018 19:25

Hi SophieLion - yes I'm on a business trip. I'm doing a litigation skills course, so my trip has added revision and assessments. Which means I'm not getting around to exercising. I have the final assessment tomorrow, so I'm almost done. Although I'm staying up here an extra day and seeing my sister before heading home on Saturday. So I suspect my next exercise day will be Sunday.

Wasn't feeling well today so no exercise Sad

Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow and up for doing a Jillian DVD.

SophieLion · 17/01/2018 07:57

An hour of tennis.

14 days.

What JM DVDs do you like Blodynmawr? I'm always interested to hear what other ones are good so I can vary my exercise routine.

Are you on your business trip Oubliette?

blodynmawr · 16/01/2018 21:10

This morning and yesterday did JM workouts.
I have recently acquired a Fitbit too which says I have completed 10,000 steps every day since Saturday Smile.

SophieLion · 16/01/2018 07:25

Only 50 mins Oubliette?! I seemed to be there for about an hour. Although went back a couple of times to check my form.

Just did a 5km run with a friend. Had forgotten we'd arranged it but it was a great start to the day in the fresh air!
Dance class later.

I also did NMTZ today. I reckon it's about 50 min long (actually it's a bit longer than that to get to the end of the cool down).

NMTZ
I hadn't done this workout for ages. It seemed to take so long to get through the workout! Am sure I will feel it in muscles tomorrow.

Abs: 6W6P L1D2. Not really feeling the motivation today. But some exercise is still better than no exercise.

Friday was hopeless but I have been for a long walk yesterday and today Smile.

SophieLion · 13/01/2018 11:34

7km run
Tomorrow will be a rest day. I think I've earned it!

I decided to exercise first thing today and get it over and done with. Cardio: BFBM

Welcome back blodynmawr

I've been a bit useless this week. Business travel and exercise don't seem to be terribly compatible. Unfortunately I'm away for even longer next week Sad

I did manage a session this evening: NMTZ.

Hello Blody and welcome! Great to have more people for inspiration and motivation.

5km run and then tennis. Bit silly to run before tennis. Don't think I'll do that again!

HI Oubliette and everyone else
I fell off these threads last year as we were having work done on the house which threw my routine...
Work now done and I'm back to JM videos every weekday.
I am also trying to do 10,000 steps per day.
I am doing it for feel good reasons rather than weight loss or looks!
Going OK so far this year!

SophieLion · 11/01/2018 07:18

Killer Arms and Back L2 with my new (heavier) weights. Using the heavier weights really made a difference to the intensity.

Dance class later on today.

I think you deserve a rest day! Enjoy it.
Hope your trip goes well.

An hour of tennis.

Rest day (my first one of 2018). I'm currently in the hotel restaurant waiting for my dinner to arrive. After which I plan on having an early night.

Decided to start counting my days of exercise too, Oubliette.

6 days so far.

OublietteBravo · 08/01/2018 17:10

Back to cardio: BFBM

I'm not sure how much exercise I'll manage over the next couple of days - I'm travelling for business.

I wasn't feeling motivated either but decided to push myself as suspect tomorrow will be a rest day.

Did 3 workouts from Jillian's 10 minute body transformation DVD (kickboxing, callisthenics and booty boot camp) and 2 circuits from Killer Arms and Back L3.

OublietteBravo · 07/01/2018 20:22

I wasn't feeling very motivated today. I still managed a short session though: 6W6P L1D1

7km run

Very proud of myself as after a long day of travelling and unpacking, I really couldn't be bothered but...the first step out of the door is always the hardest.
