Anybody else in London ballot?

It's the first time I've entered. I didn't think I'd be bothered but now we're approaching d day (week after next I'm guessing?) Ive become obsessed and am writing imaginary training plans Blush

When I entered I thought that if I got a spot, I'd defer it to give myself a year to put extra miles in my legs. But now I don't care about the extra miles...!!

Might look for other spring marathons.... K own I couldn't commit to fundraising for charity place.

I figured they could stagger them though over the course of day instead of a week tufty

Best of luck to those still waiting!

glorious · 04/10/2017 12:58

Boo it's a no for me. I got the email just now.

Good luck to everyone who got in and I hope everyone still waiting hears too.

TuftedLadyGrotto · 04/10/2017 12:57

Sending over 250,000 emails at once would crash a server. That's what happened with the NHS one when someone hit reply all to an email.

PickleSarnie · 04/10/2017 12:51

I don't understand why they can't send all the emails over a single day and put people out their misery. It's already been months since the ballot application.

My reject the year before last was literally at the last minute.

TuftedLadyGrotto · 04/10/2017 12:50

My postman has been and nothing. People will definitely still receive yes magazines today and possibly tomorrow. Honestly EA have year I watch all my running club and buddies on fb posting. Apparently first lot of no emails are going out today.

wineusuallyhelps · 04/10/2017 12:48

I’ve checked realbuzz every day this week and nothing there. I’m guessing it’s a no, then?

My postman doesn’t come till 2/3pm...Confused

Runwayqueen · 04/10/2017 12:28

Well my postman has been and nothing has arrived. I think I’ve just resigned myself to a no. Did read this morning that the bib numbers are being put back on realbuzz today. If there is nothing there then I’ll just accept it’s a firm no.

Might have a look at the new Newport marathon. I did Cardiff at the weekend and it was very well organised so I hope Newport will be good to.

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 12:21

I would be interested to know if anyone has received a You're In magazine on Day 3, or beyond Hmm

TuftedLadyGrotto · 04/10/2017 12:07

No email or magazine here yet. Annoyingly our postman used to come around 10 or 11 but last week they changed it all and now it's around 2.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 04/10/2017 12:04

I got the magazine yesterday. Red coating but I could see the 'You're in' through it, and the guy in the pink outfit Easter Smile

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 11:57

Thanks Pickle.
Another two hours till the postman gets here.

PickleSarnie · 04/10/2017 11:20

My "You're" in Magazine was in red packaging and my "You're NOT In" magazine was in yellow packaging I think. But they were from different years obviously so perhaps there's no pattern to the colours?

LoudestRoar · 04/10/2017 11:09

Still now word for dh.....

OhSoTotallyLost · 04/10/2017 11:08

Still nothing here.

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 10:56

Another thing,
Can you tell by the packaging whether it will be an in or out magazine? Confused

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 10:55

Golden, me too.
Our mail comes really late in the day.

So another day of waiting.

I have stomach ache from all the tension.

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 10:53

A lot of people have said that they send out the You're In mags first and then the rest, but if Sandunes had her You're In mag this morning, on Day 3, then there's still, a slight bit of hope for some of us. Shock

Imstyledilemma · 04/10/2017 10:51

Sandunes, Congratulations!

When did you find out?

Was it Tuesday's mail or Wednesday morning (today's) mail?

Congratulations SandunesSmile

I am wondering if emails will be last to go out. I have not read of one person being notified by email yet.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 04/10/2017 09:58

I live near Brighton and I've done it before so I'm not too worried if I don't do it. I paid the lowest price at expo so it's not the worst hit - or I could sell it! Saying that, Brighton places are easily come by so I'm not sure if there'd be any takers.

I'm very excited to run London so couldn't defer that!

HappyGowerGirl · 04/10/2017 09:58

That's so great for you sandunes👍

Timeywimey8 · 04/10/2017 09:40

You can defer Brighton but you'll have to pay again, so it's cheaper to defer London as the entry fee is a lot lower.

RunningOutOfCharge · 04/10/2017 09:34

Can you defer Brighton?

I’m expecting an email..... last years came around lunchtime

SandunesAndRainclouds · 04/10/2017 09:23

I was really shocked to get the 'You're in!' mag. It probably sounds a bit twee, but this really is a lifeline for me. I've been carrying a heavy fog of anxiety for a while now and this has given me a real buzz of excitement. It's so nice to have something to train!

Now I have to decide if I keep my Brighton place the week before...
