Anyone want to join an Octoberthon thread?

Run, swim, or do some other form of exercise every day during October and then post about it.

Inspired by the increasingly inaccurately named Juneathon thread

(Juneathon rules)

I'm not actually planning on exercising every day - I'll be having 1-2 rest days each week.

Welcome! You will be in great company when Harry gets back from her holiday, she's slaying Jillian.

I'm sitting in the car waiting for boot camp to start. I really don't want to go

blodynmawr · 22/10/2015 20:20

Hello
I'm a bit late joining but there isn't much traffic on the Jillian thread so hope you folks will help keep me motivated for the rest of the month!
I try to do JM workouts 4-5 times a week. I try to do at least 40 min per day.
I lost my exercise mojo during August/Sept and have so far got back on the regular exercise wagon his month! Smile
BFBM today.

KanyesVest · 22/10/2015 19:35

I've been going to this Bootcamp for a year now, and a different one for a year before that. I like it, he pushes really hard and it's never boring! Dh had to work late tonight so km not going to get out for my run, but I did half an hour if a Les Mills (?) Body pump thing on YouTube earlier. Not sure I get all the fanaticism about it...maybe you need to do it in a class...??

Enjoy your run/gym session!

Whatamuckingfuddle · 22/10/2015 18:13

I'm actually fine today, went for a good walk earlier but may gym/go for a run later, now I'm feeling motivated! Ouch, boot camp sounds intense, there aren't any near me but went along to a taster session once, I seem to recall seizing up completely within about an hour of finishing so well done you for sticking with it

KanyesVest · 22/10/2015 09:57

Well done! That's a great boost to keep you motivated.

How are you feeling today after your spinning? I'm sore after boot camp last night (lots of sumo squats with a bar bell). Hopefully a short run will ease things out later.

Whatamuckingfuddle · 22/10/2015 07:16

Ive lost four pounds! I only weighed myself e few days ago (I know you shouldnt) and it's just dropped from nowhere, it's a way til I'm bwhere I'd like to be but I'm so pleased - and if it wasn't for you girls I wouldn't be sticking to the exercising. Thank you, I wish I'd started eating healthily at the beginning of this!

Whatamuckingfuddle · 21/10/2015 22:16

I'm trying - but not holding out much hope for tomorrow, already in agony from tonight's spin class. Wow, to and from boot camp, that's good going

KanyesVest · 21/10/2015 21:58

You're doing an hour every day, Whata? Well done. I ran to and from boot camp again tonight. I'm wrecked after it!

Whatamuckingfuddle · 20/10/2015 20:07

Wow Harry, that's an inspiration! Been doing an hour of swimming gym or running a day since my last check in, haven't lost a pound but going to start being good about my eating now! I want those abs!

KanyesVest · 20/10/2015 14:22

3km this morning. It was tough after last night, but at least it's done!

KanyesVest · 19/10/2015 20:47

I had my rest day yesterday after my 4km on Saturday morning. I'm just back from my run to and from boot camp. I was pleased with the running, the best section was nearly a minute faster per km than my worst run last week, so hopefully I'm beginning to get back into the swing of things.

Hope you're enjoying your holiday, Harry, and you're still plugging away, Whata.

KanyesVest · 16/10/2015 22:49

Wow, you are wearing those abs well! Have a lovely holiday.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 16/10/2015 20:48

I did fit in one final session: Ri30 L1D1 & 6W6P L2D16.

Ri30 wasn't as bad as I'd remembered (although I think I might be remembering L2 rather than L1).

Just need to pack now (flight is Sunday morning) Grin

Have a great holiday, Harry, enjoy showing off your six pack!

hastily back tracks on plans for week day early morning runs

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 15/10/2015 19:56

I finished off 30DS this evening (L3 D10). I'm also pretty much all the way through 6W6P (L2 D15), although I'll probably do one more session tomorrow evening.

I have lots of good intentions about tackling Ri30 when I get back from my holiday (probably interspersed with some other DVDs for a bit of variety). We'll see how that goes!

My phone seems to prefer words with "i" instead of "o".

KanyesVest · 15/10/2015 18:10

Got out for a shirt run this morning, only about 3km (I dont know for sure because my stupid runkeeper didn't keep Angry ) but better than nothing. I'm going to try to keep up the early morning run Monday to Friday from now on, anything on tip will be a bonus.

KanyesVest · 14/10/2015 20:45

Hope it's nothing serious, Harry. I often feel weirdly fluey after a really hard session, I'm not sure why, but it happens too regularly to be coincidence.

I went to boot camp this evening and it was carnage. I've never come so close to throwing up in a class in 2 years of doing them. I washed my hair tonight so I don't have to raise my arms in the morning Confused

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 14/10/2015 20:09

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself yesterday (achy from exercising and I thought I might be coming down with the cold the DC have had). Feeling better today - 30DS L3D9 & 6W6P L2D14 now completed.

KanyesVest · 14/10/2015 14:06

I should have been hiding with you, Whata! Work has been bananas for both myself and DH, so it's been almost impossible to do anything the last few days. I got up at 6 this morning to go for a plod, and did 4km. I'm hoping to get to either bootcamp or boxing tonight if I don't fall asleep after the hatefully early start so will report back later if I manage it.

Hope your spinning goes well today, and Harry, I hope you can move after all your exertions!

Whatamuckingfuddle · 13/10/2015 21:19

I went into hiding from this thread - while I stayed out too late Saturday but obviously wasn't at all tipsy then did no exercise and ate way too much Sunday and Monday. SO I am more determined than ever, I've been to the gym tonight and signed up for my first spinning class tomorrow (hopefully - I haven't heard back). I will make up I for my weekend!

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 12/10/2015 20:36

I was feeling particularly motivated (or possibly sadistic) today, so I did 30DS L3D8, then 6W6P L2D13 and finally 6W6P L1D16.

I'm out tomorrow, so I'll be having a rest day. I'm hopeful that I'll finish 30DS and 6W6P before I head off on holiday on Sunday Smile

Hope you enjoyed your lie in Harry. I did a late one too, just back from a 4km slog. My mojo does not want to be found Sad

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 11/10/2015 21:11

Right - bit late doing my workout today (I slept in for the first time in ages). Just completed 30DS L3D7 & 6W6P L2D12.
