Good morning, and happy new year!
I've been running almost 18months now, started off on c25k in september 2013, 4stones overweight and needing to improve my mental as well as physical health. Lost 3st and got up to 10k in 65mins, then had total abdo hysterectomy in May 2014.
Entered ballot for VLM 2015 in fit of pre-op confidence, and now here I am. On week two of marathon training plan, and absolutely loving it. I've never done improvement training before, and I can feel the benefit already!
People's eyes have started to glaze over when I start on about running now, it's totally changed my life for the better.
There is no 'wrong side' of any age for running, you only have to check out the people at parkrun to show you how versatile it can be.
Hope to be able to keep up with this thread - and will chuck 4 miles in the pot for yesterday
