Okay, it's not just 30 Day Shred anymore but if you would like to log your daily JM fix and get some tips and tricks from fellow Shredders, step this way.

I managed to get back to it this evening, but I have to confess that a 10pm start for a shred session results in a rather tired workout...and now I can't sleep!

Anyhow, back after 2 days break from it due to evening meetings and work. So 30DSL3D2 is done, although still only at day 20 overall. And somehow today had absolutely no problems with doing the side abs work on my left side in circuit 3.

Must try to sleep now, kids will be up at 6.30 no doubt! Joy!

Lullabylullaby · 31/07/2014 22:28

I need some motivation can you share your results. I'm on L1 day4. I bought the most delicious chocolate brownie to share with DH but ended up eating most of it. It was yummy.... ;-)

yadahyadah · 31/07/2014 21:50

I did ripped in 30 after Shred and it was really good. It sort of picks up where Shred leaves you and then takes you even fkg further. In a good way of course. It was the program in which I really started noticing positive changes to my evil zones. Go on, someone else start a thread for August. itsfab how about you?

Are we having a new thread for August?

Final shred of July - 30DS L3D4. Level 3 is starting to seem (slightly) less evil. Can't believe I only have 6 more sessions to go.

Any recommendations for what to do next? I was considering either RI30 or 6W6P.

Spotsondots · 31/07/2014 20:14

Fuckalella - daily exercise in August? I will if you will...Smile

Spotsondots · 31/07/2014 20:12

30DSL2D1 completed.

I have also had two rest days due to serious lack of motivation and I really hear you on the diet going out of the window thing, too. Back on it today. Motivated by the fact that I have a wedding to attend Saturday and the only suitable dress options I have are pre pregnancy sized... They fit but I need all the shredding and toning I can get to pull it off...

Started L2 today a couple of days early. Oh my...

Fuckalella · 31/07/2014 20:01

30DSL2D6 done after 2 rest days. Had to push myself into it, dieting is also starting to go out of the window Blush

In desperate need of motivation! Trying to convince myself that I will exercise every day in August!

30DS Level 2 Day 2

Wasn't in the mood. It is so hot and I am shattered but I've awarded myself a star for doing it and carrying on even though I found it hard and it hurt.

Mostly following Natalie though not quite as good as her of course Grin.

yadahyadah · 31/07/2014 10:19

30DS Level 1 day 1 - am gutted as the copyright police obviously discovered the Body revolution videos i had been accessing - and really enjoying. i had a two-day rest due to ultra-knackeredness and came back to find it has disappeared. I went back to Shred and found it pretty tiring but was super pleased to find out that I am following Natalie through all of it and even did the dreaded anterior lifts without any great problem. So despite being sad at the loss of BR (am I likely t buy it for $70? nope) I was pleased to catch sight of my progress over the months since about March when I began this whole shenanigan.

Well DS woke up screaming this morning.

Probably nightmares about 13 stone of mummy juddering up and down, poor lamb, hope he isn't scarred for life...

30DSL3D5 done. Still largely Anita but definitely getting into some first-trimester clothes now...

OublietteBravo · 30/07/2014 22:15

I'm so glad nobody has seen me doing rockstar jumps. I'm always scared I'm going to fall on my arse overbalance. I don't think I'll ever get the hang if them properly.

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/07/2014 21:23

oubliette DS (5.5mo) naps while I'm shredding and invariably wakes up whilst I'm rock star-jumping and laughs and laughs at me. It's v cute but doesn't help my confidence one bit!

OublietteBravo · 30/07/2014 18:27

Just done 30DS L3D3. I think it is starting to get easier (but still hate rockstar jumps).

Itsfab · 30/07/2014 13:23

I was part way through day 2 level 2 when it stopped playing. I am doing it via youtube on the tv, is that why?

Tangoandcreditcards · 30/07/2014 10:49

30DSL3D4 done

Was v hard this morning. Too knackered to type. Hope everyone's ok - hang in there shadows

Itsfab · 29/07/2014 21:30

I am resting too as I forgot about doing it until this evening and I decided the long walk today will count as exercise. Hopefully one missed day won't make a difference, what with no apparent benefit yet Confused though I must be getting fitter if fatter as finding each day easier.

Bimblepops · 29/07/2014 18:48

I'm having a rest day today, partly as I'm feeling exhausted and partly because I haven't had a chance to during the day and I'm out at a meeting until 9.30 tonight.

Will be back Shredding tomorrow!

OublietteBravo · 29/07/2014 18:27

I had an unintentional rest day yesterday, but managed to get back to the shred today. Just done 30DS L3D2. Not enjoying level 3 at all! I don't seem to be as sweaty and out of breath as I was on level 2, but I'm certainly more tired and achy. Feeling pleased with my progress (22 days done, 8 more to go... and then I'll need a new challenge).

Itsfab · 29/07/2014 14:07

Thanks Tango. What worries me about not keeping an eye on my weight is loads will go on without me realising. When my baby was 12 months old I became ill and the medication put 2 stone on me and I didn't notice. My clothes seemed to fit and no one said a word. It makes me sound so stupid but with the 1 year old and a 3 and 5 year old I had other things on my mind, plus the meds were vital so even if I had realised I would still have had to take them.

Home from a long walk as we got lost. We walked for about 1 3/4 hours in hot sun, cheese sandwich and a mars bar for my lunch - real treats - and now I am going to sit and write a letter and take a few minutes before shredding. Made me laugh while out. I bent down to pick up the Frisbee and did a movement at the same timeGrin.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 29/07/2014 13:33

I've just had a huge bowl of stir fired chicken with mushrooms and an orange sauce. Unfortunately it's fairly low calorie. I was very underweight as a teenager due to issues at home and whenever I'm stressed I seem to revert back to eating how I did then. I've had loads of drama this morning, I think the whole street is talking about me! My mother who I am no contact with after an abusive childhood turned up outside my house this morning with my younger brother. They proceeded to stand in the road yelling my name to try and get me to open the door. They kept this up for TWENTY minutes. All the neighbours were curtain twitching, it was bloody awful. I am SO looking forward to this holiday.

Am going to shred later, I think it's quite good for releasing anger and stress, esp with the punches in level 3! Grin

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/07/2014 11:48

Hope you feel better soon shadows, I have periods like that, where eating is unappealing, but I do know from experience that forcing food down does actually help recover both my appetite and also helps the stress. (Low blood sugar v bad for my mood) In the absence of any appetite I dare myself to eat a bowl of cereal for every meal and eventually it comes back. Hope some downtime helps you out.

itsfab my weight and measurements fluctuate A LOT, daily. I used to drive myself nuts jumping on and off the scales and thinking nothing had changed. Now I'm only allowed to weigh and measure every 2 weeks, it helps to get the step changes, I find it much more motivating to see 3lbs off after a fortnight than half a pound here and there going off and on.

bimble I'm much better at the sideways abs on one side too! (Not v good on either, mind). My right side is rubbish too, I decided it was because I had a torn rotator cuff (irreversible shoulder injury) years ago, have you got any shoulder probs? (I am an absolute menace for self-diagnosing my excuses)

Itsfab · 29/07/2014 09:17

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too good Shadows. Can you buy yourself something you wouldn't normally eat but which you would really enjoy eating?

I am also not eating enough. I think the 5:2 has messed with my metabolism. I haven't lost anything, stick at 11 stone 13 and if I was right that I had lost 4cm it appears I have put about 6cm back on but still the same weight Confused.

I am seriously fed up. I am fat and I don't even eat anywhere near what I used too never mind the amount of crisps and chocolate I used to put away.

Well done Chococroc!!

Chococroc · 29/07/2014 07:21

Had an accidental rest day yesterday (slept in) but have done day 30 of 30DS this morning. Really pleased to have stuck at it, think I'll move onto RI30 next, but going away so will have a weeks break first.

Did my measurements and have lost a total of 12 inches off the measurements. Only lost 1.5lbs though so guess there's some muscle built up there.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 28/07/2014 22:17

Hi all. Had two rest days over the weekend, just couldn't motivate myself as was child free. Have just don't 30DSL3D7.

I think I'm going to struggle to stick with it this week. I've got family stuff going on and although I feel fine and positive about decisions I've made I think I am bottling up a lot of stress. I'm really struggling to eat. I managed about 550 cals on Sunday and 1200 today. It's nowhere near enough. I'm just feeling horribly sick at the thought of food, which from experience I know is likely stress. Need to sort myself out sharpish. I kept dropping things today and tripping over which is def from not eating enough, and couldn't sleep last night which is also from not eating enough. Ex is having kids one day this week and the weekend so hopefully that'll give me the headspace to get myself sorted and then on Monday we are off on holiday which will be good and much needed!
