For all running chat!

OP posts:
karatekimmi · 06/08/2014 22:10

The streak continues ... yesterdays was an easy 1.3 miles around the block.
Tonight, I got ready for my club run, negotiated tantrums with my 2 year old - "no run no run" and drove to pick my babysitter up ... who was at a wedding! luckily I managed to find a neighbour who would keep my sofa warm and watch my TV while I managed a 4.9 miles run (really need to look at the distance before I sit down inside!!)
185.03

Thursday that's not good!! have a rest day and try again tomorrow!!

madmiles 3.1 miles is a great contribution - and on Saturday there will be plenty of 5k's being added!!

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 06/08/2014 21:59

Got in a 5k after work, bringing our total to 181.93.

Oh, and I'm starting with a running club next week . It's a beginner's course running for two months with the idea being you're then at the standard to run with the main club. Should be fun!

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 06/08/2014 21:56

Oh Thursday! Confused

Why didn't you want to go?

Bluebird89 · 06/08/2014 19:42

Oh I thought I read 13 weeks Cinnamon, I must have got confused! Fx you can keep going then

ThursdayLast · 06/08/2014 18:39

Oh no, I've had a mare!

I was in my kit, all insect repellent-ed up, ready to go. Then I sat down for five minutes.

I decided to use what little energy I had to get OUT of my kit and into the shower...

Useless

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 06/08/2014 13:37

7 miles from me this morning.

178.83.

It was a lovely run, warm and sunny but not too hot. I saw lots of birds along the canal bank as well which was lovely.
I'm shattered now though. Might have to have a little sleep. Smile

PulsesARagingEyesFullofWonder · 06/08/2014 09:00

Think we must've cross-posted, cinnamongreyhound

So the total is now 171.83 with both our runs added :)

cinnamongreyhound · 06/08/2014 07:19

I'm only 5 weeks though Bluebird89 :) hope it all goes well for you. I didn't run when I had my other 2 so have no idea how I'll be with running.

4.5 very wet miles from me this morning with my doggy friends! 168.63

PulsesARagingEyesFullofWonder · 06/08/2014 07:13

3.2 miles from me last night. Didn't get out til it was getting dark, but it was a lovely run in the end. Hamstring okay, so I feel I can begin to build up distance a little now.

So that's 167.38

Bluebird89 · 06/08/2014 06:50

Oops sorry total 164.18

Bluebird89 · 06/08/2014 06:49

Just 2.5 from me this morning with the dog. Haven't made her run with me for a while poor thing has gone back to bed now.

Cinnamon congratulations and it great to hear you're still managing to run. I am TTC #1 at the moment and have been wondering whether I would manage to keep up the running once pg so nice to know people do

Runkittyrun · 05/08/2014 22:29

Congratulations cinnamon
Great running going on.

I have 7.83 from yesterday and 5.45 from today to add to the total. So that's 161.68 (including the previous posters).
Starting to get nervous about my first HM race in a few weeks. Mostly about whether it will be hot still.

5madthings · 05/08/2014 21:33

Congratulations cinnamon

6.5km from me this eve, my first run in a week or so? I think that's about 4miles? Anyway I ran the whole route and didn't need a walking break which I am pleased with having been so crap at going running for months, I really enjoyed it as well and felt like I could have carried on bit didn't want to push it as am going swimming tomorrow am, taking advantage of Dp being home so I can escape and go do 80 lengths or so.

TessTackle · 05/08/2014 21:30

Omg cinnamon Blush

TessTackle · 05/08/2014 21:30

Congrats Cinammon!!! I'm chuffed for you Thanks

MadMonkeys · 05/08/2014 16:04

Meant to say congratulations Cinnamon ! Pretty impressive running while you're pregnant!

cinnamongreyhound · 05/08/2014 15:19

Sounds like fun postmanpatscat!!

And thank you all for your congrats :)

postmanpatscat · 05/08/2014 14:58

Congrats Cinnamon!

Two 5k runs to add from me so another 6.2 miles.

Looks like I am entering the Royal Parks half in October as there's now a space in the team DP is running in. Just me and a load of scaffolders and health and safety bods!

MadMonkeys · 05/08/2014 13:21

Can I join in with my miles? My contribution seems a bit lightweight compared to the rest of you! 3.1 miles from me last night with a personal best speed of 9.8k/hr (I'm metric, me...)

138.12

karatekimmi · 05/08/2014 13:10

Amazing improvement feet

Did a speed session before the club run last night, then the run leader's 6-7 km turned into a 10km run, so I was properly worn out last night!!

I love running with a club, very friendly, not competitive but very supportive and encouraging. Makes me a better runner, and have loads of new friends to gossip with!!

2.2 from Sunday which makes 11 days so far, just need to get out today.

135.02

emummy · 05/08/2014 12:07

So adding my 3 from this morning and those from postmanpatscat I think that makes 126.82. Very happy with mine today, my 2nd fastest 5k ever, and the fastest was on a flat course. Today's was along to big hill, then up and down it twice, then home again, so very pleased. Knackered but pleased!
And congrats on your news cinnamon, hope you keep well.

They are v cool feet

feetheart · 05/08/2014 06:58

Blathers - I can see all of that happening here which is exciting. Just running with other people is a novelty and although I haven't found a group to run with who are my pace, and faster, yet I am enjoying the chat whilst meeting new people and finding out new routes. I have also already been introduced to proper speed work which is only going to help.

Managed 4.5 miles last night so 117.62
Think we aimed for, and possibly didn't quite get to, 1500 miles in May.

Thanks for the voucher recommendations, will probably go with Amazon/cheque so I can spend at will - I really fancy something like these. I need some funky gear to brighten things up :)
