Jackster first body fat percentage is hard to measure so take 25% as a very rough figure. Second the acceptable range is 25-31% so 25% is still a good result. The range for fitness is 21-24%, to get into this range you just need to build more muscle. Resistance exercise is the best way to do that so shred, Ri30 etc. will all build muscle. I'm trying to get into the athletic range of 14-20% so I plan to take up weight training in September once I've tried to shift a bit more fat through diet.

IdkickJilliansAss · 16/06/2014 16:33

Hi all, yes no more kettlebells for me Daddy it's a shame but not worth the damage.

stunt, just measured my body fat % after your comment (we are a similar height and weight) and depressingly mine also seems quite high, at 25%. Don't want to lose more weight (am 5'5" and 9st 0lbs) so how can I lower body fat without losing weight?

Have done a Shaun T "upper focus" with 3kgs weights this morning.

daddypig week off sounds nice.

Good work on the gardening, spinning.

spinningirl10 · 16/06/2014 07:21

MorningGrin

Ooh stunt, having the bench and weights will be fab! Dp has a weight bench and some old weights which are ok but we plan to update sometime.

I haven't done any JM or BH but I have been very busy gardening!! There is so much to do. It's been left untouched for 2 years so its hard work but I'm getting there.
I am off on holiday 4 weeks today though so will get back to my usual routine soonGrin

oohdaddypig · 15/06/2014 22:20

Still here!

Glad the back on the mend, i'd kick. Are you binning kettles for now?

stunt your abs look amazing to me! Wow!

miss. Yes, I definitely found my belly fat shredded. I don't know if it's because I lost my last half stone of baby weight and I tend to store it on my tummy. I have split stomach muscles though which means I look a bit thick waisted now, hurrumph.

Had a week off with DH - although not actually away anywhere. Did a couple of hill walks and two swims. Forgot how much I love swimming :)

Just did most of JML1 yoga. My back was niggling and yoga always resets it!

Have a great week all.

Hi.
I was interested to see people's thoughts on 6W6P. I liked level 1, but find level 2 tones up my thighs rather than my belly, with all the squats. Also, she goes so fast in the second run I can't keep up without falling over.
Has anyone found they lost belly fat with this? I definitely have a more tones belly now, I can feel some muscle, but it is hidden below a layer of podge.

StuntNun · 15/06/2014 13:31

Ri30 L1D4 done Grin

StuntNun · 14/06/2014 16:40

Ri30 L1D3 done. DH is off buying weights and a weight bench so we should have our home gym set up soon.

IdkickJilliansAss · 14/06/2014 10:39

KB&T L3 and Shaun T Core Speed done

Thanks Errol, I'm looking at 16:8 (or more likely 14:10 which is recommended by Leangains to minimise hormone disruption in women) but my DH has suggested I wait until after my TOTM as I can get a bit hangry when I have PMT Blush

ErrolTheDragon · 13/06/2014 22:12

Stunt - looking good! If you're interested in doing intermittent fasting, the 5:2 support threads are helpful, and there's an exercise one. It's meant to be one of the better ways to lose fat without losing muscle.

StuntNun · 13/06/2014 16:36

I can see an abs shape emerging very vaguely but I think my body fat percentage is still quite high. I'm already at a good weight (5'6" and 9st 3lb so my BMI is 21.0) so I don't think I can afford to lose much more weight, maybe a few pounds. I'm toying with carb refeeds and intermittent fasting at the moment but it's hard work juggling a good diet, enough exercise and family life.

No I can't see my six pack emerging Stunt. Althoug I'm not doing the diet, just the exercises

EarSlaps · 13/06/2014 13:03

No six pack after 30DS but I did get ab definition when I did 6w6p after.

Did ES&S L2 this morning but I was very very hot and sweaty. I've just done a 15 minute Yoga flexibility session I am really really inflexible.

IdkickJilliansAss · 13/06/2014 13:01

I could see my obliques but the rest of it no, I have excess skin from 3 pregnancies and although dramatically improved I'm not sure it'll ever go away entirely

OP posts:
StuntNun · 13/06/2014 12:17

You know in 30DS level 3 when JM says you should be able to see your six-pack emerging, did anybody actually see that?

MellowYellowWag · 13/06/2014 11:14

Ow ow ow!! Just done level 3 of Shred. Maybe 2 weeks on is too soon but I'm proud I managed it. Whether I can walk tomorrow is another thing Grin

MellowYellowWag · 12/06/2014 19:08

Thanks Kick I will order it for when my 30 days are up

IdkickJilliansAss · 12/06/2014 18:18

Welcome Mellow Smile I think KB&T would be good for what you want to achieve

MellowYellowWag · 12/06/2014 15:36

Hello can I join you Jillian fans?
I'm 2 weeks into 30DS & have done it before & had great results. However I want to concentrate on my wobbly thighs so which do you recommend to follow Shred? KB&T, Ripped or Trouble Zones?

spinningirl10 · 12/06/2014 15:14

Haha it's quite big and the rooms are very big so mother and son will share a room and we have 3 single beds in another room. Also have more than one bathroom....I wouldn't want to share my bathroom with anyone! We've had students before and have always been lucky and had nice onesGrin

IdkickJilliansAss · 12/06/2014 14:35

I think you are right about that especially if someone's had back problems in the past. How big is your house!! Grin

OP posts:
spinningirl10 · 12/06/2014 12:58

Pleased its improved Kick. I have heard of so many people getting injuries through kettle bells, I really think its something you need to do with an instructor to make sure you have the right technique.

No his parents have come over for a month then his dad is returning home and his mother is coming to stay with us for 8 weeks. We also have another 3 beds for students so it will be a busy summer! My ds loves having students, they all like to play with himGrin

IdkickJilliansAss · 12/06/2014 12:19

Thank goodness for that Spinning are his parents staying with you too?? My back is so much better thanks, i've packed in the kettles for good though. I have put that box set on my wishlist Earslaps my collection is getting large!
