Who fancies 10km of mud and obstacles? Come and join Team Wolef

Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

Fabulous - so I make that 10, 2 teams of 5

Pack 1 - OhOne, Blathers, Bells, Jelly plus one

Pack 2 - Standing, EauRouge, BigFoot, BigFoots friend (BF - I need her details asap, check your PM) plus one

So Mitchy - dash to Pack 1
Feetheart - come join us in Pack 2

Do not want us to miss out waiting for folk to appear at the expense of those that are here are up for it :) Hope that is sensible.

We could all commit to pay full price and if we get a group discount put it in the kitty for the after run Wine. Then we can just get booking...

I'm happy to do the sorting out but need to be reminded of the details I need. Will look on website later once I've done payroll and paid myself so I can afford top pay for wolefs.
Did anyone hear the mention on Chris Evans this morning for a team that had done this weekend's one? He even did a hoooowwwl for them :)

I'm in (and probably get the 'oldest wolef' prize Mitchy - like the idea of dinosaur hide tres chic and hopefully warm and water-proof :))

Mitchy - if my memory serves me correctly weren't you going to be a wolef pack leader? If not I am happy to do it.

I think we will have some drop outs and injuries so we might need to re-jig a bit. So shout if you are IN, and shout if you are OUT so we can get organised as needed. We do not have to go in bundles of 5 :)

I don't know how old everyone is. I think we did stats further upthread where some of us said how old, short-sighted and short we are.

nobody said anything about a fleece! what if I have a rare sort of disorder where I don't mind looking shit all the time yet draw the line at wearing fleece? is making me shuddery

am I the oldest? maybe can have some special senior 'fleece' made of dinosaur hide

I think the plan is something like this-

Everybody is dead keen and pays their entry fee very soon.
We get MN Team Wolef t shirts sorted.
We get Wolef fleeces to wear after the race.
We meet up for some kind of muddy trail run training thing if possible.
Wolf run day and we try to get around without peeing ourselves, drowning or getting stuck behind a wall.
