Who fancies 10km of mud and obstacles? Come and join Team Wolef

Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

Can def have a lift HalleLouja though I need to learn to use my satnav thing as last time I only had to make it to Blathers and had to ring for help :)

And we all help each other - no wolef left behind :)
Aroooooooooooo

HalleLouja · 08/11/2014 16:03

Feet if I can have a lift (obviously happy to pay for petrol) am too scaredy to drive on motorways. Then I will sign up for it. I will need help but would love to do it.

feetheart · 07/11/2014 22:15

I seem to remember quite a few EauRouge although the mud might have addled my senses :)

EauRouge · 07/11/2014 22:07

A very fit man, you say?

We will look after you Wink

I was scared of the lake swim, but was elated when I did it :)

We were all new to this last time, different ages / heights / eyesight / fitness and we all did it and had a fab day out :))))

standingonlego · 07/11/2014 22:03

There is one high cargo net - we had one Wolef last time who is proper scared of heights and she got over it with encouragement.

But there is no pressure and you can go around all obstacles if you need too. No-one has to do things that they feel are too much of a push

Only other bit I can think of was a high-ish wall, but that apparently was much easier for her as it was solid. The rest of obstacles were just fine.

However....if you like to keep clean and smell sweet step away now!!!

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 21:55

Was there much climbing over/jumping off high things? Because I would need pack motivational support for that, and might cry a bit during the attempt.

standingonlego · 07/11/2014 21:53

There was also a very fit man who catapulted me out of the lake with a hearty shove on the bottom ShockBlush

standingonlego · 07/11/2014 21:52

all obstacles were just perfect Grin and nothing you cannot handle with the support and encouragement of your fellow wolfs :)

feetheart and I managed all of them despite our considerable difference in height Wink

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 21:21

How hard are the obstacles?

feetheart · 07/11/2014 21:20

Go Molly go. Aroooooooo :)

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 21:19

Right. I had better start training, then!

feetheart · 07/11/2014 21:17

I'm sure we can sort you out for both a lift and boot space. See how many we get then organise from there - there were 9 of us last time and it was FUN :o

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 18:37

There seem to be reasonable trains to Leamington Spa, so I can do it, although if anyone can give me a lift from the station and/or storage space in their car boot for towels and warm dry clothes, that would be good. I'm in for spring!

standingonlego · 07/11/2014 18:18

We can sort it I am sure Molly we are a very resourceful gang Grin

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 17:26

York, so quite far. But I could probably get a train to the nearest station depending on times.

feetheart · 07/11/2014 17:24

Winter one was sold out, don't think Spring one is open yet.
Whereabouts are you Molly? We did some car sharing last time.

MollyBdenum · 07/11/2014 14:38

Oh, i think they just haven't opened bookings yet, although i thought they were open this week.

EauRouge · 07/11/2014 14:31

Already?!

I just looked, and the Spring one is sold out :-(

EauRouge · 07/11/2014 14:15

Oh, my birthday is the weekend before that. And I didn't get a marathon place...

I have a big milestone birthday at the end of April...

I will have to investigate public transport access/ persuade a friend with a car to join in.

feetheart · 07/11/2014 12:56

11-12th April in Warwickshire and there is one of the previous Wolefs with a big birthday that w/e too.

You know you want to :o

HalleLouja · 07/11/2014 10:09

When and where is the spring one?
