Over on the Parkrunners Anonomoyous thread there has been a cunning plan being hatched for a summer 10k meet up. Picking up on excellent suggestion from thenightsky here is a shiny new thread for us to use to plot.

So who's in?

Btw have any of you seen the Brooks shoe promotion at www.brooks.co.uk ? You get to try out a pair of shoes from the Pure Project range for a week and then get a £25 voucher twds a pair if you decide to buy. I get to pick mine up on 2nd of Feb.

Have just signed up for Whipsinade 10k. 5 months to train.... I can do 5k now so definitely doable.

EauRouge · 12/01/2014 09:04

Grin Good idea, we'll be soaking wet afterwards.

Tiredemma · 12/01/2014 09:02

we must each have one of these for keeping our bodies warm pre and post event

How about the Birth Trauma Association? I'm raising money for them for my half marathon and they desperately need more funds.

So if we're doing the Autumn Wolef, I could also do the Stampede... It'll have to wait until payday though! I wonder how quickly each of them sells out.

Standingonlego · 12/01/2014 07:57

SH? DH :)

The Whipsnade Stampede website is now working. I just entered Grin

Blatherskite · 11/01/2014 20:02

I'm in for the Wolf run. I think there will be a few from my running club going too but I can swap to team Wolef Wink

Tiredemma · 11/01/2014 19:46

Thats a great idea

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 11/01/2014 18:51

I am a woolly hugger as well as a woolly runner (I was part of the MN BUPA 10K team for World Child Cancer last year). May I suggest that the Wolef Team consider trying to raise money for a good cause?

EauRouge · 11/01/2014 18:25

I really, really want a MN Wolef Pack t shirt Grin

Tiredemma · 11/01/2014 15:50

yay!!!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 11/01/2014 14:17

G'wan then, I'll do the Autumn Wolef - how many are we now?

lego
deadbody
EAU
Emma
feetheart (if not GNR'ing)
nightsky (you will have recovered by then, don't know how old you are, but I am in the older runner group as well)

YY to team teeshirts Grin

HalleLouja · 11/01/2014 12:43

Am up for Whipsinade. Its nice and close to my house.

HalleLouja · 11/01/2014 12:40

I am just at around 5k and hoping to get to 10k by May so maybe count me in.

thenightsky · 10/01/2014 23:10

standing I'd not put my head under murky water to be fair.

Standingonlego · 10/01/2014 22:40

I am scared of putting my head under water....so reassurance on opt outs is good. I know that this is pathetic....i cannot even put my head under the shower (risk of outing myself here with level of silliness)

OP posts:
Tiredemma · 10/01/2014 21:25

ha ha. Its the only reason I am doing it! I know if I cant do a part of it I can jog around!

thenightsky · 10/01/2014 21:22

Tired Now you're making my head write cheques my body can't cash Grin

Tiredemma · 10/01/2014 20:50

If you look at the wolf run site though you can opt out of any obstacles that you dont feel you can do- they have routes around them.

(just do it!!!! Grin 0

thenightsky · 10/01/2014 19:52

feetheart You and me are the same age and there's no way I'd manage the obstacles that are in that Wolef run!

Can we get Wolef Team printed on the MN team t-shirts though. That would make my day Grin

Tiredemma · 10/01/2014 14:35

I did it in 2012- Im in the west midlands so when you factor in the petrol and accom costs PLUS registration fee- makes it too expensive.

feetheart · 10/01/2014 13:25

tiredemma - me too, just couldn't justify the membership cost though was SO tempted :)

Tiredemma · 10/01/2014 10:43

oh I LOVED GNR and hope to do it again one day
