welcome rubbish! (sorry, you chose your name!)

I'm doing 5:2 but think that the shred is the main thing altering me at in terms of tone and increased strength so I reckon its definitely worth doing without 'dieting'.

rubbishfamily333 · 19/09/2013 10:19

Hi everyone I'm joining the thread for support and inspiration!

Today I did level 1 day 4.

I did the shred before for 11 days straight and lost 1 inches off my hips and toned up a lot then stopped Confused

I would love to hear of others results to keep me going. Also is everyone dieting while doing the shred? I'm not at the moment as I have a lot going on right now and I'm not ready to diet right now.

Will I still get results without dieting??

L3D1 - quite enjoyed that. Have to do Anita walking planks and side planks, really can't do the travelling pushups so I did knee normal ones. And really can't do rock star jumps - my feet just don't get far off the ground. But apart from that...Grin

Level 2, day 6 done...and I am a fetching shade of maroon. Oh, the sex appeal!

dorris

you are 6 days ahead of me so well done!

I actually worry about loosing too much weight and my tummy looking like an inflated balloon!Sad

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 19:51

Well done Doris.

Not sure if it was on this thread or another, but there has been some discussion to the effect that wearing decent kit - eg knee length leggings which keep your flesh in check is good for morale.

DorisShutt · 18/09/2013 19:47

L1D6 all done. Not actually as bad today thankfully.

BUT I'm having a bad body image day. I was exercising and just felt so flabby and cellulite-y! I can feel muscles that I couldn't feel before so I know things are moving underneath, but it just isn't shifting things on the outside. And I know it's not a quick fix, and a lifestyle change etc... but I want to be slimmer!!!! Gaaaaaah!!!! Sad

Anyway, rant over. Day 7 tomorrow!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 18:20

zing - yeah, the tv is the only thing that works for me too. My DVD showed up really quickly from amazon with just the free delivery so hopefully yours won't be too long.

PeppermintCream · 18/09/2013 18:02

Thanks, I might just get it from iTunes. No I'm not from the pink place - I think there is also a peppermintcreams

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 18:00

Peppermint you have to keep pressing the next arrow to eventually get one. The first few are restricted. I got fed up and just got them on iTunes!

Are you the same peppermint creams as from "the pink place" ?

PeppermintCream · 18/09/2013 17:48

I'm looking for level 2 on YouTube - would any of you share the link?

ZingWantsCake · 18/09/2013 17:46

bump
thanks, I will start asap - I noticed people here are on different levels and days anyway (no shit Sherlock!Wink )

boo

get your arse in gear! is that better?Grin

ZingWantsCake · 18/09/2013 17:44

Thanks errol

I can't do it on YouTube as the pc is in the smallest room so no place there to excersice.
plus I couldn't look after DD there.

which is why I bought the DVD so I can do it in the living room, and she can either be in the playpen or climb on the sofa, on me, on the windowsill...Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 14:46

Oh, I'd not watched the clock! OK, that sounds fine then, can ff the babble after the first time (or use it to put on my shoes)

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 13:51

Welcome back Boo

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 13:50

Errol, Shred L2 is 27m58s minus 45 seconds for chat at the beginning and end and inclusive of the warm up and cool down.

L1 of ripped is 30m but she babbles for a while at the start.

Boopear · 18/09/2013 13:44

Can I come back? I really really need some kicking on Ripped. I am on Level 2 day 7 and I seem to be getting worse :-(. Tell me that I need to keep going..it is so disheartening!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 13:41

OK, a bit longer than shred (which is 18+2 if you don't do extra warm/cool) but not too much. I'll see how you do for a few days and then maybe order it. Thanks!

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 13:20

No overall it is around 27 mins like shred.

DorisShutt · 18/09/2013 12:47

Ripped says it's 3 rounds of the 3,2,1 thing - Amazon details say "DVD INCLUDES: Four 24-Minute Workouts 30-Day Meal Plan" so I think it'll be a 18 minute workout plus warm up and cool down?

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 11:52

Bump - sorry, I wasn't clear - I meant how long per day.

zing - L1 is available on youtube (if you've got something you can watch it on while working out). I'm sure there will be an October thread, but there's quite a bit more of sept. to go yet.

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 11:51

zing just start the day it arrives. No point waiting til October

ZingWantsCake · 18/09/2013 11:45

I'm still waiting for fucking amazon to deliver my stuff. I bit has not even been dispatched!

is there going to be an October shredding thread?

I think this boat has sunk, I'll get on the next one...

I'm impressed with all of you btw, keep going!Smile

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 11:41

Ripped is thirty days too. This time it is 4 levels. After level 3 shred, level one ripped feels easy, but I still managed to sweat buckets.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 11:38

L2D10 done. L3 tomorrow.

Bump, how long does ripped take? I'm wondering whether to try something different when I'm done with this round of shred in a couple of weeks time, but don't want something that takes too long. Though maybe I could do a mix of something longer and shred depending how long I wanted that day.
