That'll.teach me to write without checking post numbers first! Sorry for the failure to link...

(sorry I just realised it was half six AFTER I posted all that. It's earlier here in the US.)

blackcurrants · 14/03/2013 18:38

Oh, bad luck Crazy, that's miserable.
Is it dry? Can you get them both outside? If all goes completely to hell here, and it[s not snowing Hmm I load them both in the pushchair and go to the park. DS2 will fall asleep and DS1 will at least run around getting filthy for a while, and I can take deep breaths and not murder them.

It's when it's snowing or raining that it's harder.

crazypaving · 14/03/2013 17:24

well done Sophia. I've had the day from hell and have eaten 7 biscuits and some chocolate. feel like crap for doing it Sad ds2 has cried all day and poor ds1's struggling as a result. I'm tired and hungry and just want to stuff my face. boo.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/03/2013 15:09

I have hit my 3 pm wall. Ahhhhh. 2 pieces of nimble toast and a kitkat. Hopefully it will not break my calorie bank.

BambieO · 14/03/2013 14:34

Haha, very true! :)

They look brill, definitely give them a whirl

blackcurrants · 14/03/2013 14:10

But it's activity points, BambieO

Yeah I think so. I've been meaning to make bath bombs as a means of luring DS1 into the bath anyway, maybe I should make some for me. I've got enough hippy oils around the place. :)

BambieO · 14/03/2013 14:00

Blackcurrants! You randy old goat you Grin

That's what I found hard, and especially on Friday or Saturday nights as they automatically used to equal wine and takeaway :(

Definitely go for the lovely bath bits, that was my treat to myself when I was pg and couldn't drink, after a while it became habit just like flipping down with a glass of wine used to

blackcurrants · 14/03/2013 12:25

I fell off the wagon last week and put on 1lb. Since I have fifty to lose, I can't really afford to go backwards, but at least it wasn't FAR backwards. And crikey, I did eat a lot of shit. There were a few tough days and long nights with the baby, and it drives me straight to the sugar.

For me the really hard time is straight after the kids are in bed. I feel like it's 'me' time and I deserve a treat. I think I'm just not going to have anything nice in the house- DH is totally on side, as he thinks he's put on too much weight (he has a bit of a post-baby belly but mainly is a sexybeast, as always) and wants to eat less junk, but like me, if it's in the house, he eats it. I am trying to work out what else I can do that will feel like a treat but actually be nurturing and good for me, body and soul, rather than feeling good but actually doing me bad.

So far I am thinking: posh bath stuff. Maybe. But I can't do that in front of the telly with DH, which is the other half of the 'collapse once the kids are in bed' thing.

Maybe I should get more active (on the couch) with DH? [snigger] Grin

BambieO · 14/03/2013 08:26

Ladies step away from the chocolates Grin

crazypaving · 14/03/2013 08:11

1lb down resulting in ww warning me about maintenance. what?

having a hell of a morning with the kids. also want chocolate.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/03/2013 15:51

Help. I need some choclate.

crazypaving · 13/03/2013 13:20

another one with a toddler here - 23m age gap. it's full on! just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it when they're older.

weight loss slowing down here. weighing in on thurs, think I've maybe lost a pound this week? not surprising considering my mother's day chocolate blow-out and I'm trying to muddle through ww putting me on maintenance against my will! I'm feeling less hungry these days - finally! - but still crave cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc madly, I suppose cos I'm so shattered all the time. just willing the weather to warm up and cheer up so I'm less tempted to comfort eat.

projectbabyweight · 13/03/2013 09:33

INeed - prepare for some loud, bright, American motivation www.slimissimple.org

utopian99 - it's "great" Grin I'd say a lot depends on the age of the toddler. Ds1 was 2.2 with ds2 arrived, and I think it's a bit easier when the older one's at least old enough to play by themselves for a few minutes. However, a smaller gap means the older one won't remember life without the baby, and may be less jealous.

As long as there are no health issues, colic etc. then the second baby is miles easier than the first - no anxiety, no having to adjust to being a mum and having your freedom taken away, like there was the first time.

In terms of weight loss, it's tricky not to eat for energy when you're tired, or for comfort when they're both screaming, also less chance of exercise (except pushing a double buggy). So I fully recommend trying to get back to your starting weight between babies. Not that I did Blush

INeedThatForkOff · 13/03/2013 08:00

Argh. I'm really struggling. Have lost half a stone since new year and that's it. Really tired with never sleeping DCs and just can't find the motivation. Somebody be stern with me, I'm making myself miserable.

utopian99 · 13/03/2013 07:26

project what's the toddler + baby thing like? We're hoping to start ttc dc2 when ds is 6 months so imagine we'll be in the same boat..

Failed to weigh in for a while but tried in the middle of the night on feeds last night and was 10st flat, so hoping I'm finally back on track from a few weeks ago. It's amazing how long it takes. Sad

Have started walking down and back from my pramactive class, which burns extra. Am much better at doing more exercise rather than cutting out food, although I suspect the latter has a faster effect..

NanoNinja · 12/03/2013 20:09

I'm still here too. Still clinging onto ww, but has all fallen apart over the past week due to being back at parents. Back t home on thurs and will weigh in next week. God, I'm sick of snow and cold weather....

blackcurrants · 12/03/2013 12:42

Ooooh having a MN stalker would go straight to my head Grin hello!
6
Going to weigh myself this morning, though can't at present as I am lying in bed next to a sleeping baby, and he is almost certainly my last baby, so I have to watch him sleep for a bit longer Wink

projectbabyweight · 12/03/2013 11:14

I'm still here! (and on the stats thread) Haven't written very often, it gets a bit insane doing the toddler + baby thing. Have averaged about half a pound loss per week, it's all I can manage. Still, that's 7lbs since I started at the New Year. 21 to go, will prob take me till the summer, oh well.

Blackcurrants - I think I remember you on MN from a couple of years ago, you always seemed to write what I was thinking. Congrats on the ds2, sorry he's poorly, and no I'm honestly not a stalker Grin

crazypaving · 11/03/2013 09:01

I ate the whole box of chocolates in one day.

salad and water for me until Thursday.....

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/03/2013 16:26

I put on 3lbs in NI Sad.

I have to be really really really good this week.

crazypaving · 10/03/2013 09:12

pasties Grin at fart Grin

dye loving mother and son day! that's so sweet!

I'm blundering through ww with my new too-many-points allowance. just trying to undereat slightly every day (with the odd weekend splurge) I had been heavily hinting to dh that I wanted a massage for mother's day and he's fecking well got me an amazing box of chocolates. ffs he knows I'm on a diet Sad well he can sod off if he thinks he's getting any Grin

happy mother's day all! where does that stupid apostrophe go...

blackcurrants · 09/03/2013 20:05

Dye oh god not at the weekend! I'm not strong enough! Tuesday works well for me because I've had time to sort of find my feet again after the weekend, when I invariably eat rather badly due to rushing around, baking with DS1, etc. Nah, it's got to be a Tuesday weigh-in for me, that way I have lots of time to make it right again if I fall off the wagon on the weekend! :)

DyeInTheEar · 09/03/2013 12:21

I wonder if I should stop doing Saturday weigh in. I can ruin my weekend if I feel down about not losing enough... so daft.... that's where this thread has been my saviour and cheered me up. Iheartpasties arf at your fart!

Anyway - I'm 11 stone. I've got a stone and half to go. I think I've lost a stone and a half since giving birth. If I include baby and the pregnancy offal I've lost 2 and half stone as was about 13 and a half when I was in labour.... but I don't think including my 10lb10oz baby as weight loss is really allowed...!

BF finally seems to be helping but I really have to watch every single thing I let myself eat..Here's to a week which will take me into the 10 stone zone.

Happy Mothering Sunday all of you. Or as my eldest DS says "Mother & Son day"

Iheartpasties · 09/03/2013 10:23

you poor LO black currants. I would have been the same as you - stuffing my face due to stress. Blush
