My mum died today

Just that, she died today. I'm devastated. She was old and had been very ill but my god I miss her already. I can't believe my mum has gone.
I couldn't get there in time and she was alone and scared and it breaks my heart. I'm so sorry mum, I love you so much xxx

Thank you to everyone and my thoughts are with everyone who has lost someone they loved. We gave mum a bloody good send off! She would of loved it. My Dh and my girls have all been fabulous looking after me. We talk about her all the while. My dad is doing well and we have got into a little routine. We go for lunch and raise a glass to mum. It's early days and I still have a little cry most days. I miss not speaking every day with her but I call and speak more now to my dad which is nice. It will be a sad Christmas but she's always in my heart.
I don't know how I feel about this but each time I see a robin, which is quite a lot lately, it does make me smile thinking it's mum popping down. Love to you all and thank you again for your kind thoughts x

I’m so incredibly sorry. My dad died a year ago and he was very old. I miss him every day. But I feel him with me all the time. He was such a massive presence in my life. Take it easy and allow yourself time to grieve.

I lost my dad in September and losing my mum day by day to dementia.

Sorry for your loss OP. My Mum died a few weeks ago and I wasn't there at the end. She died at 6 in the morning and we were asleep. We know the nurses were with her. I don't feel bad. She wouldn't have known and I doubt very much that she would have wanted us to see her take her last breath. I don't honestly think I would want that for my DC either. Be kind to yourself and think of the good stuff about her, not how she died.

I have all my lovely family here supporting me. She was a good old girl with a wicked sense of humour. I'll miss her giggles x

@Loopyanna my lovely mum died a month ago, I miss her so much. Like yours she was very ill and I wasn't there when she died despite being with her most of the week. I think sometimes they want to die alone so as not to upset us. How lucky are we to have had such lovely mums Flowers

Really sad to see this post. It's devastating to lose your mum, no matter age or circumstances. Take care of yourself, OP, and remember all that grief is your love for her continuing, and I'm sure she deserves it. I bet she was wonderful xxxxxx

I’m very sorry @Loopyanna. The person dying doesn’t always want to put their family through the final moments.
Some people even wait until family are not there. So please don’t upset yourself thinking about the end. 💐
