We need to get a true valuation of separated husband's defined benefit pension (which he began drawing this year) to start working out a split of marital assets.
Has anyone used a PODE/pension acturial before mediation etc so that you know what figures you're actually talking about? I'm happy to go to mediation, but don't understand how we'd know what we're trying to agree on unless we have the actual figures to hand.
Our house is nearly all equity (thanks to me...) and I need to work out if, with some pension sharing and me borrowing money, I can afford to hold on to it to provide stability for our teenagers and not have to go through the stress of moving until I'm ready.
TIA
