Actually there is a third path to become a true democracy. Ethnically cleanse the land of all the Palestinians. Now which one of these choices does it appear Israel has made. Oslo accords, dead. You are not the arbiter of what a democracy is. All recognised metrics reflect that it is a democracy not an ethnocracy and Israel is a legally legitimate state. All you are doing by arguing this point is revealing your own prejudice.

A democracy? It's an ethnocracy. If they want to be a democracy there is two choices. Either make all Palestinians civilians with totally equal rights or get the fuck off their land as per UN legally recognised borders and leave them alone to have their own country.

The majority of the world maintains diplomatic relations with Israel because they all know that it is the only democracy in the region, which apparently is not something you value, and a bulwark against terrorism and theocratic fascism Pretty laudable reasons.

The political leaders of most of the world do maintain diplomatic relationships for a myriad of reasons, not all admirable. The general populaces however, feel a bit different as they did with South Africa. I would appreciate it if you could refrain from personal attacks.
