Instead he decided the best option was to turn it into an open air prison and contain the millions of Palestinians in a tiny area where they had no way of threatening Israel. On top of that, radical Palestinians (Hamas) were funded and encouraged to over throw the Fatah governing body so as to divide the Palestinians. Israel has never tried to be reasonable or even fair with the Palestinians. Plan Dalet is still on going.

Jews were kicked out by the Romans from the area 2000 years ago, the whole point of the diaspora. So no, they didn´t have any claim to the land 2000 years later, that is ridiculous and only Israelis are allowed to claim that shit. The land belonged to those who lived there in the early 40s. The point being that after the 2nd World War when the concentration camps were liberated, European nations did not in any way whatsoever want the survivors back so they outsourced the problem and made it a Palestinian problem. So yes, I do believe that the politics of the afterwar created this awful situation where Palestinians became a minority in their own land. I am sure that if the Bible said that Manchester had belonged to the jews 2000 years ago and hundreds of thousands were "encouraged" to leave mainland Europe and settled in the city, kicking out the natives of their homes "because 2000 years ago" there would be massive backlash, but it seems the ME is this vacuum where they have to grin and bear it.
