No one knows who reports posts, they are done anonymously apart from where someone admits to it. It's not necessarily a person even posting on the thread (I get reactions from people sometimes who aren't even posting on the thread and whose usernames I don't necessarily recognise, so know that more people read these threads than the dozen or so who comment).

Twiglets bemoaned the toxicity of this board and I responded by suggesting that as she is regularly on the board, she is just as responsible for any toxicity. My post was deleted - apparently ok for her to suggest everyone who disagrees with her is toxic but not ok to deflect that back to her…

Perhaps if I’d reported Twigkets’ post too, she’d also have been deleted, who knows? Point is, what you said above is just not true.

I didnt report any of those posts by Francine. I repeatedly asked for my post to be reinstated by mnhq as I wanted both posts to stand, the one where Francine said Oct 7 was self defence, and the ones where I shamed her for doing so. I repeatedly asked for all posts, including mine to stay up.
After a bit of back and forth a new mod took.a look at the whole thread and removed all Francines posts. As I said, I would have preferred them to stand.

If you say I BS, you show me where. Point it out to me. Date and time. I'll retract if I have BS'ed, its important to me that I don't. Ta.

You say you are no fan of Hamas, but your immediate response to a thread about Hamas is to respond with a criticism of Israel?

If you are not a fan of Hamas and its methods then why not just contribute to the discusssion on that basis instead of making it about something else altogether?

Can't we, for once, just talk about the death cult that is Hamas without the whataboutery?

I mean, you can do the whataboutery if you like, but it's pretty difficult then, to take you seriously as someone who isn't secretly a little bit of a fan of Hamas.

I asked for a different mod to review the thread and was told that it had been escalated to the Head of Community at Mumsnet.

The Head of Community sent me a detailed email response. She deleted most of Francine's posts and did not reinstate the post of yours (or mine) that had already been deleted. I was told that my post attacked Francine which is against site rules, albeit only using the same language that she had thrown at me first.

No worries, like I said on that same thread, we are both different sides of the same coin. Xx

Well, it’s hard not to, because Israel’s behaviour continues to be unspeakable, and they pass off anyone they kill as Hamas, from what I’ve read.

So Hamas agreed and Israel didn't? Even when the terms were changed after two days to suit Israel.

Why would they though in fairness. They have continually moved the yellow line to further displace people and corral them into smaller and smaller areas. They are taking Gaza (and the West Bank)little by little and nothing is being done about it in the international community (quite the opposite really)

They have no need to make an agreement.

The Guardian: Netanyahu said Israeli forces will not withdraw from their current lines in Gaza until Hamas has completely disarmed.

In remarks on social media, Netanyahu suggested there were differences between Israel and the Trump administration over a recent deal announced to disarm the militant group.

The agreement called for Hamas to begin disarming and for Israel to halt its strikes and begin withdrawing from Gaza. It was part of an October ceasefire agreement that ended major military operations but has stalled on other fronts.

Netanyahu said that disarmament should come first, and that Israeli forces would continue to “do whatever is necessary to protect themselves, our territory, and our citizens.”

Netanyahu okayed reconstruction in part of Gaza outside Hamas control — report

Army Radio reports that Netanyahu and Israel Katz quietly gave the go-ahead for rehabilitation work to begin in southern Gaza, despite vowing that reconstruction of the badly damaged Strip would only take place once the Hamas terror group disarmed.

The reconstruction work, which involves building infrastructure for the establishment of residential housing, is taking place in an area of eastern Rafah under Israel Defense Forces control, but near the Yellow Line that forms the ceasefire line with Hamas.

According to the report, Netanyahu and Katz gave the green light two weeks ago, albeit without announcing the move, as the International Stabilization Force set to take control of parts of Gaza readied to deploy.

The Army report claims that Gaza contractors and laborers will carry out the work after undergoing security checks.

In response, the Prime Minister’s Office says the work began months ago, as part of an Emirati-backed project for temporary housing “free of Hamas rule.”

“As of now, the area has been cleared of terror infrastructure and tunnels,” reads the PMO statement provided to Army Radio.

The PMO also says electric, sewer and water infrastructure work will not be performed by Gazans, and will be under IDF supervision.

In January, Netanyahu insisted that reconstruction in Gaza would be allowed only once Hamas first gave up its weapons, something it has refused to do thus far, though a recent US-proffered agreement, rejected by Israel, appeared to pave the way toward disarming the group.

“I am already hearing the statements that we will allow Gaza’s reconstruction before demilitarization,” he said at the time. “That will not happen.”

Responding to the report, Transportation Minister Miri Regev tells the station that rebuilding work can begin in any area of Gaza not under Hamas control.
“We want Gaza to recover,” she says.

The Telegraph report that Netanyahu said that Israel was speaking with the US about its objections.

“They have ideas; some of them are acceptable to us and some are not, and we know how to stand our ground on these matters,” he said.

Mr Netanyahu said that Hamas must give up all of its weapons, a goal that Board of Peace members say is not realistically achievable.

“We are talking about real disarmament, not fictitious disarmament,” Mr Netanyahu said.

Just as a thought experiment, imagine if Trump went on TV and made a special announcement, all US citizens to disarm. " We have done a deal with Mexico and Canada, and troops from those countries will be along soon to collect all your guns".

But we are going to be actually in charge of counting the guns and we are never going to say that they are all collected because then we would have to keep our side of the agreement.
And no one will ever be any the wiser because we will have "intelligence".
