I don't know... I've emailed to ask. I hope because I quoted the pp when they openly supported terrorism? If not, perhaps the moderator felt I shamed that poster by pointing out they posted with no shame.

I really hope the former as I feel its really important to point out support for terrorism and extremists wherever possible. Its hiding in plain sight so often on here.

You're just repeating the same points and ignoring anything you find difficult to answer like why not direct some of that hate towards Hamas.

Stop projecting your lack of empathy for civilians onto me. I'm not the one who doesn't care about innocent civilians getting murdered, my only argument is with Hamas. I've made it clear throughout that I have every sympathy with innocent civilians in Gaza and the West Bank who are pawns in this war being badly treated by both sides.

You are the one who finds it odd that I would expect you to care about the (mainly Jewish) victims of October 7th. You make that very clear when you say you want me to feel terribly sorry for the victims of October 7th. Why?

The reason why is that I expect anyone with humanity to feel sorry for the victims of October 7th. In the same way that I expect people to feel sorry for Palestinians living and dying in Gaza and the West Bank. To pick a side to the extent that you can only feel sympathy for one side is scary to me.

What did the Bibas children do that they eeded defending against? The rape victims? How was that defense?

Palestine has a right to defend itself.

Exactly ... "Palestine has a right to defend itself" - no, Hamas did not have the right to kill at least 1,200 people—mostly civilians—and abduct 251 hostages.

Hamas did not have the right to inflict the torture, rape, and the murder of babies, children, and elderly victims across 20 communities, the Nova music festival and military installations.

And people choosing to ignore the huge role that Hamas play in the Gaza war have no right to lecture others on their "humanity".

All this could be ended tomorrow.

But it wouldn’t be very profitable.

Way to gloss over what happened on the 7th of October...

That would be great but, unfortunately, Hamas have zero credibility - they lie and lie and lie. Its a nasty organization bent on achieving their goal - the destruction of Israel at any cost - and they dont give a fuck about ordinary Palestinians dying in the process.

My first reaction to hearing this was "Yeah, right!" with an eyeroll. Of course they won't disarm. They just lie and lie and lie!

Five Hamas weapon depots were destroyed in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip overnight, the military and Shin Bet announce.

The IDF says the sites were used by Hamas to store assault rifles, explosive devices, anti-tank launchers and other military equipment.

One of the weapon depots was located adjacent to Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, according to the military.

“This is another example of Hamas’ systematic use of and embedding within civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities, to plan and carry out terrorist activities,” the army says.

The military justifies the strikes amid the ceasefire by saying that Hamas intended to use the weapons in attacks on Israeli forces in Gaza and Israeli civilians. The weapon depots were “destroyed to remove the threat,” the IDF adds.

Hamas dissolved their government in early July so gradually they are losing control. Although, any checking to see if new government contains old Hamas officials?

You’re right, Hamas has never been interested in peace. They only want war and to wipe their neighbours Israel off the map. But that’s the rogue, genocidal terrorist organisation that it is. The planning of October 7th took over 2 years! Let that sink in, 2 years to plan a mass terrorist attack. They knew the result of that would be war in which many innocents would die, but they didn't care. Hamas leaders happily sat on their millions in accounts in other countries use the people as pawns. It's incredibly sad. It's a shame that Hamas don't put their weapons done and attempt to live alongside their neighbours who don't want to be wiped out.
