Trumps senior counter terrorism officer resigns due to the war with Iran and has said they only went to war because of Israeli pressure, not because of any imminent threat from Iran.

If that is really the case will this not be very damning for Trump? How will he respond to this?

He is now bashing EU allies for not doing his bidding. Yesterday he said he was shocked with how Iran retaliated even though experts in the US had already warned of the outcome. I can't tell if he is lying or is actually really shocked.

Trump will either go off on another incomprehensible long rant / spontaneously combust/ threaten a lawsuit/ or bomb another Country.

Either way that is a very significant letter.

He's in a high ranking position, for him to come out with such strong criticism and to resign will be a huge blow.

In a letter posted on Tuesday to his X account, National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent said that Iran posed "no imminent threat" to the US and claimed that the Trump administration "started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby".
