How on earth can this be justified? Organisations like MAP which have worked for years and are fully registered. Another example of Israels inhumanity.

An article from the Jerusalem Post and a statement from MSF so hardly Hamas propaganda

If you read the thread you will see it is not for security reasons

My life is too short to read every bit of Hamas propaganda and rebut it.

In your opinion

AnnaFrith · 03/01/2026 18:50

I presume they are doing this for essential security reasons.
Their priority, quite rightly, is to prevent Hamas arming themselves and committing further atrocities against the Israeli population.
Why the hell would you expect them to allow in people who don't recognise Israel's right to exist, who are thus likely to support such terrorism?

Why is anyone pretending that Israel are acting out of self protection or that any of this is a democratic government trying to bring about peace: they literally targeted paramedics and UN workers and buried their vehicles to conceal the war crime, they bombed multiple hospitals, doctors homes, aid workers homes, journalists homes and a press tent. They have arrested hundreds of medical professionals and aid workers, raped a doctor to death, tortured aid workers and doctors in prison. Would you want these people having your name and address in your books.

Interestingly I saw that items that they deemed “dual purpose” and banned aid organisations from bringing in they are allowing to come in for sale from corporate entities. Do we think for 1second that they have civilians interests at heart? Their own soldiers have said that the IDF can do what they want in Gaza and then just say they feel threatened - watch Breaking Ranks on ITV!

Ellen2shoes · 03/01/2026 13:11

An independent inquiry found no evidence, so no comparison. An inquiry into Israel’s actions cannot come soon enough.

Everexpanding · 03/01/2026 13:06

No the allegations against Israel are usually proved to be true not until Israel’s attempts to smear and deflect are discredited though, the news has usually moved on. It is a recognised and documented tactic of Israel
a case in point the poor aid workers and the mysteriously buried ambulance

As is the way Israel’s damaging allegations turned out to have no substance

Some do some don’t … much like the allegations against Israel.

That is the Jerusalem Post’s opinion not something I or evidence would agree with

Quite interesting what you choose not to quote from that article

“But Doctors Without Borders is fundamentally not deeply and widely infiltrated by Hamas the way UNRWA is, because it is not a Gaza organization.

And the registration issue could have been finessed quietly or by allowing a third party in the United States to vet the group’s personnel. The NGO’s objection that some of its completely innocent aid workers have also been mistakenly killed by the IDF cannot be dismissed.

Rather, information obtained by the Post indicates that the group is being banned more because of its support for BDS.
There are hard questions to ask about the utility gained by blocking Doctors Without Borders because of its support for BDS versus the terrible headlines Israel has faced worldwide for doing so.”

so not banned because of security concerns but being threatened and bullied to be silent, if you criticise Israel/ support a peaceful form of opposition to it’s actions Palestinians will suffer.

Edited

I can’t post the whole article but I did post a part mentioning BDS. Plus a link to the whole article for anyone interested in reading more about it.

Thanks for posting the part about UNRWA being deeply & widely infiltrated by Hamas by the way.

Right, and I was pointing out that if an international company is operating in another country, or if a local company is employing international employees, it's very normal for a country to require enormous amounts of information about those employees, including potentially undertakings not to break laws or undermine that government. As soon as there is anything cross-border - company, or people, the reporting requirements become intense.

Plenty of other charities have managed to meet these reporting requirements.

A UK company, operating in the UK, with UK resident employees, would also have to report the names/addresses/salaries etc of all those employees to the government - would they have to say they're not trying to undermine the welsh parliament? Make statements that they don't support Cornish independence? No, but this isn't that situation at all.

Has the UK murdered 579 of those workers in the past two years ?
Is giving the information to the UK government a threat on the life of these workers (as stated by MSF directly)
Does the UK government classify these workers as terrorists with no evidence?

A more balanced article from Jerusalem Post, which publishes a list of the 24 NGOs who have been approved to continue providing humanitarian aid.

Overall, the 24 countries on this list produce 99% of the total aid volume according to Israel, though it had not named them until now.

The IDF has said that the banned groups have produced only 1% of the aid, with many of them already banned during the war, meaning that the current ban changes nothing on the ground.

Israel has not been entirely transparent about why it has banned one group over another. However, it has stated that groups with a history of members who wore dual hats and worked with Hamas were more likely to be banned, as well as groups that support the boycott, divest, and sanctions campaign (BDS) against Israel.

Could you point out where I said the word only as in only Palestinian employees.

Israel has said that 37 aid organisations will be banned from operating in Gaza starting tomorrow, unless they comply with its new guidelines requiring detailed information on Palestinian staff.

As pointed out earlier and said clearly in the statement posted from MSF this is where the issue occurs because of the safety of the these employees and their families. The IDF are well versed in killing/imprisoning someone and saying they are Hamas with absolutely no evidence (and will be believed on here every time )

How unusual that you couldn't understand this.

You're suggesting these were Palestinian charities, with Palestinian employees, only working in Palestine? How unusual.

@Usou Why persist in this bizarre smear against Unwra? Israel was found to have made unsubstantiated claims in order to persuade Western democracies to withdraw funding - the majority quietly resumed as allegations were found to be false.

Same old.

So the bizarre obsession with Gaza/WB persists.

Any NGOs or peace flotillas at a loose end can always head down to Sudan or the sahel. Except they won't.

The Israelis on a daily basis pay the price for any armed individuals that slip through the net. This has included numerous UNRWA staff.

I also wonder how many months it will be before this latest piece of information will be found to be less accurate than initially thought?

Oh my god you are so right. MSF/Doctors Without Borders have never been known to work anywhere else such is their 'bizarre obsession' with offering lifesaving medical care to Palestinians. They are probably lying about the 70+ other countries including Sudan that they also provide medical aid to. You've really got them all figured out!

None of the other NGOs had a problem with supplying the information asked for re their staff. Or if they did, they were willing to comply anyway - their choice.

There have been many cases of NGO staff being accused of having links to Hamas & Islamic Jihad so proper vetting at this stage seems reasonable to anyone that cares about this not happening. The NGOs have had months to provide the information requested.

What information?

Israel has confirmed that once again it intends to make life more difficult for Palestinians by banning 37 NGOs including MSF which as I posted is heavily involved in delivering medical care to Palestinian who are suffering from the effect of Israels policies .

Completely agree with that @Everexpanding . It lines up with the point I was trying to make regarding the danger the Palestinian employees are in by the IDF having their details.

Currently, MSF supports one in five of Gaza’s hospital beds and assists one in three mothers during childbirth

This stood out to me also in their statement. The loss of their supports and medical expertise is going to be catastrophic for Palestinians in Gaza..

Everexpanding · 02/01/2026 23:39

From MSF to those who say they should just comply

”MSF has legitimate concerns around the registration requirement to share personal information of our Palestinian staff with Israeli authorities, heightened by the fact that 15 MSF colleagues have been killed by Israeli forces. In any context - especially one where medical and humanitarian workers have been intimidated, arbitrarily detained, attacked, and killed in large numbers - demanding staff lists as a condition for access to territory is an outrageous overreach. It undermines humanitarian independence and neutrality and is made all the more dangerous by the absence of any clarity about how such sensitive data will be used, stored, or shared. Yet, rather than engage with MSF to hear our concerns, the Ministry in charge of the registration process has ignored our repeated requests for a meeting “

I wholeheartedly agree with the first sentence of their statement too

”Israel’s threat to withhold registration from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and other international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) is a cynical and calculated attempt to prevent organisations from providing services in Gaza and the West Bank, Palestine, in breach of Israel's obligations under international humanitarian law. “

but wouldn’t expect anything less from Israel now, vile behaviour
